Dan T Posted September 25, 2019 Report Share Posted September 25, 2019 Hi all, I have been unable to find a service manual in the local auto parts store and would like to change the oil filter and drain the oil. Can anyone tell me the torque spec for the oil drain plug/bolt and I'm assuming the oil filter get tightened by turning until contact and another 3/4 turn. Would that be correct? Gadgetjq Posted September 26, 2019 Report Share Posted September 26, 2019 (edited) Hi Dan, The 3.5L Oil pan drain bolt is 20 ft-lbs with a new crush washer. Curiously, that spec is in the "engine removal' section of the service manual, not the engine installation section. Go figure.
