P0018 after water pump and head gasket change

Recommended Posts

Coolant was leaking from the side of the engine, I had an overheating issue too so I replaced the water pump and head cylinder gasket.

Engine sounds and drives slightly different and I now have check engine light, P0018. It was an emergency repair so pretty much nothing else was change.

Any tips or ideas what could be wrong or how I can fix it? I intend to order new timing kit for this but I fear, the issue may persist.

Did you take pics during the process?  Sure the timing marks are correctly aligned?
