Hey Everyone,

I have a 2010 Edge, and recently the RPA alarm goes off when there is nothing behind you. Sometimes it is constant, other times it is a few chirps a second, or once every couple seconds, there is no consistency to it. I have washed the sensors, made sure they were not scratched or knocked out of their positions. I made sure that all 4 sensor are clicking when the car is in reverse, which they are. No service lights come on, on the dash.  I turned the RPA off, but it does turn itself back on. I haven't been able to find much online about it. Any ideas?

My initial guess is that one or more of the sensors either has corrosion in its connector, or, has become misaligned due to backing into an obstacle.

More advanced troubleshooting requires pulling the codes as there are three or four modules involved in the circuit.
