AF_Vet
Hi everyone. I have a 2016 Edge Titanium with the Sony audio system. For the life of me, I can't seem to get the sound to come through clean. It always sounds muddy. I've done the calisthenics with the treble/midrange/bass adjustments and no bueno. It is particularly bad (subjective) with bluetooth sound. Am I missing something? It just doesn't sound premium at all. Any help or further leads would be most welcome and appreciated. enigma-2
Have you seen this video? (Basically, unplug the center speaker and a little poly fill in the sub). Have run a speaker the all-around test to check individual speaker performance?
AF_Vet
I will have a look at this. Thanks for the pointer!
AF_Vet
Hello enigma-2, I finally managed to see the video and it was very helpful. Thank you! Haven't done the individual speaker test yet, but will. Thanks again! Edited August 26, 2022 by AF_Vet
handfiler
FWIW I briefly owned a 2012 Focus with the 10 speaker Sony audio system. Through experimentation I ended up disconnecting the center dash speaker. That made a noticeable improvement. This was by far the worst sounding premium audio system I have experienced in a vehicle. AF_Vet
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll see what's involved for my Edge. If I can get to it, I'll try it. I've heard that the B&O speaker systems are not very good. Apparently selling the sizzle without much steak.
