Wireless CarPlay Adapter Problems

I have owned two Edges with Sync3, and have tried three different wireless carplay adapters.  In every case, there are intermittent problems.  Sometimes the adapter boots and connects to the car and phone correctly, but other times, there is no connection to the Sync3 system, and the light on the adapter flashes.  Also occasionally the adapter connects to the car, but won't connect to the phone (Iphone 12).

 

Has anyone found an adapter that connects reliably with both the car system and an iPhone?  I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations, as I am very frustrated with this.  Thanks for your interest and help!

I have the OTTOCAST U2-AIR Wireless CarPlay bought in October 2022 and its still flawless in my 2017 Sport.

 

There's later models of this brand and expect they'd be just as reliable and possible additional features.

I've owned a couple of these the motorola and the AAwireless variety.  In both cases, there are sometimes random glitches that occur - android auto failing to launch, etc.  In all cases correcting the random error is resolved with a restart of the device (sometimes both phone and dongle).  

 

Android auto has been going through multiple revisions of late, and my aawireless devices have been updated too.  I have had no luck pinpointing where the actual cause of these issues originates.  There have been too many variables to narrow things down before another change comes.  

 

My sense is that for now - some degree of this glitchy behavior is going to be there for the time being.  It generally works for me more than 90 percent of the time.
