It is the one that connects to the airbag light indicator, camera button, hazard lights button, max defrost button, volume and tune knob, etc. Also curious to see what module these buttons are connected to. There will be a change in the BCM to disable the rear camera LIN circuit, because the front and rear camera LIN circuit will connect to the IPMB instead. And some changes in the APIM. Wubster100 Posted February 25, 2025 Author Report Share Posted February 25, 2025 Ok, so I tried to remove the rear camera today. I removed the 2 inner tail lights / reverse lamps. This, IMO, is a major oversight by Ford on the Edge, not having the 360 cams even as an option. WHEN you are successful, I will almost certainly be doing exactly this same project. The goal is to mount the camera as close as possible to the Edge that already have the front camera. I’ll see if I can find a post/thread about it That is for the newer vehicles, such as 2021+ F-150, 2022+ Expedition, 2020+ Explorer, 2024+ Escape. Older vehicles will require the calibration mats, such as 2015-2020 F-150, 2016-2018 MKX, 2018-2021 Expedition. The front camera will show static guidelines if the LIN connection is removed. I don't have a front split view. I may have to order a different front camera.
