fishx65
Picked up a 2022 ST-Line last week and the engine is crazy loud compared to my 2011 3.6. I ordered the hood insulation pad which I'm picking up this morning and thinking about the foam engine cover. Will these do a decent job at masking fuel pump and injector noise???? STBEAST
I am pretty sure the little 4 banger is going to be louder and vibrate more than your V6 was. I have watched a few YouTube videos and you can hear the difference between the 2.0 and the 2.7 in the ST. My 2021 ST came without he hood insulator. apparently they stopped putting them in at a certain point. I ended up ordering one from the dealer and installed it myself as it came with the clips. Even though it is under the hood, it just didn't look right without it. Even though I did it for cosmetic reasons, I may have noticed a small amount of sound reduction, but the 2.7 V6 is pretty quiet so I am not sure how much difference it would make. But worth it if you ask me.
johnmarkp
We added the hood blanket and engine cover to our 2019 SEL. It made a noticeable, but not dramatic decrease in sound. The 2 liter is pretty noisy. Not the engine itself, but the air intake design is bad and causes a lot of high pitch noise. Ford says it is not a defect. Knowing what I know now, I would still add the two parts if I bought an Edge without them.

Hey, so I did the same and picked up the pad - no benefit. If your car has a non-OEM windshield it may be missing a piece of foam for in between the dashboard and windshield - or maybe it just isn't sufficient. I picked up a $2 piece of pipe insulation and cut it so it was a half circle and pushed that into the gap...it is crazy how quiet the vehicle is now. You can get it to look relatively decent.
