Front end noise "wobbling" when releasing the accelerator

I've had an issue for over a year of a noise in the front end (a "wobbling sound) when releasing the accelerator at speeds over 25. Anything over 25 is when the noise is most prominent. The dealership first thought it was a CV joint issue and replaced it but it did not change the sound. Second time back to the dealership a year later, they now state it is a brake issue. Brakes had plenty of wear left but today both front end brakes and rotors were changed. Noise is still there. 

While pushing on the accelerator there is no noise but about a second after releasing the accelerator, the sound comes alive until you press the accelerator again. Has anyone had or heard of this issue or know of what I can start looking for? I'd appreciate any advice or thoughts.

Tires can cause this. Cupped, under pressure, defects.

 

Check pressure, look for uneven wear, balance, try rotating and see if the sound changes (front to back.)

 

Other than that, I'd look at the bearings.

I have something similar which I haven't yet resolved, except mine is the opposite - I get the shake/wobble when accelerating at speeds 55 to 65 mph.

 

When accelerating and decelerating the drive applies forces on the toe - accelerating tends to toe-in and decelerating toe-out.

 

Possible causes are as @enigma-2 stated and inner/outer tie rod ends.

UPDATE: Late last week, the dealership diagnosed it as a bad transfer case. I’m hoping this fixes the issue but we shall

see. 🤞🏼

I'd think a failing PTU causing this noise is possible, but a little unusual. I read in a different forum where a wobbling sound from the PTU was traced to excessive play in the pinion bearing (where the driveshaft connects.) 

 

Q. Have you done PTU fluid changes?
