2008 Ford Edge SEL - Ford Remote Starter Module Location

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a 2008 Ford Edge SEL in Canada. I was given a 2nd set of keys, and on them is a Ford Remote starter remote as pictured. On the back it says "Code Systems Inc. GOH-PCMini". However, it does not work or start the vehicle. The light on the remote flashes/lights up (not a dead battery from my understanding). I believe I need to relearn the remote to the vehicle. According to the link below, and the YouTube video below, I need to find the reset/program button on the module. However, I took a good look under the dash (did not remove kick panel), I removed and looked behind the glovebox, and I looked and removed the center console cup holder tray, and I was unable to find the module or reset switch.

Does anybody know where this is? I live in Canada, and the dealer wants $250 an hour to try and find it/fix it, which is so much considering I could just put a system in for that price.

Here is the Code Systems GOH-PCMini remote program data:

Welcome to the Forum @DaBlinky!

The sales brochure for the 2008 Edge references availability of a remote start system through Ford Accessories, and the 2008 Edge Workshop Manual offers no technical information, indicating that remote start was a non-factory/dealer-installed feature.

Attached below as PDF documents are installation instructions and a diagnosis guide for the Ford Accessories system, and also the wiring diagram for the standard starting system, without any remote start system.

Good luck!
