Blk22Edge
It seems to me like my transmission is bucking & shuddering at slow speeds. From what I'm seeing it may be due to the torque converter. I've already done a drain and fill on it and used Ford's fluid for it so there wouldn't be any guessing on if it was right or not. Is it possible that the transmission is already failing? My Edge has 68k miles on it and I did the first drain & fill at 50k miles. Any suggestions? 2022 Ford Edge SEL 2.0 EcoBoost 68,000 miles. ford07
This most likely corresponds to a torque converter shudder, a known problem with this transmission and not a sign that the gearbox is failing, especially at 109,000 km. The fact that the oil change was done late may explain why the new oil hasn't completely resolved the issue. STBEAST
It could be something as simple as a software update or reprogramming.
Steve JC
Just had the transmission replaced in my 2022 Titanium at 67K miles!
edgeidiot
Was your transmission serviced (flushed or drained and refill?)
enigma-2
Old fluid is a known cause,, but you've already addressed that. (Change at 30k — 40k intervals.) At 68k you're past the 60k warranty. Have you checked for codes? P0741 is a code which often displays when this condition occurs. (Torque converter clutch solenoid performance). TSB 21-2389 addresses the problem of shuddering or jerking at speeds up to 35 mph. (Doesn't occur above 35 mph.) Is revises the software in the PCM. (Changes when the xmission shifts.) .
