Was expecting to see worn-down brake pads because I often brake pretty hard. Ford brake pads must be a very hardened material. All 4 corners looked nearly new with very little wear. Made it worth the effort to pull the wheels off and the Ford Blue calipers look pretty good. Only problem is the Black Label wheels cover up too much of the calipers and you cannot see them very well, but, well enough to see a difference from the original bare metal. dabangsta Posted 14 hours ago Report Share Posted 14 hours ago I did mine at 96,000 miles because my rears were worn down to 2-3mm, and it was pretty easy to get them chattering after hard stops (adaptive cruise and mountain passes). the fronts were still over 8mm, could have gone a lot longer before replacing them, but I had ordered the parts and also was upgrading my smaller FWD rotors to larger ones. I'll go out and clean my wheels and take a picture of how it looks. Hopefully, I'll get some comments on them. The wheels are beefy; therefore, can't see the calipers as well as I'd like. Those 21's are hea-VY. Here are a few pics of the brake calipers, as promised. Can't see them very well, but, they look a little better when the sun is not directly overhead and casting shadows.
