macjc
IN THE MIDDLE SEAT, THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE IS IN A VERY AKWARD LOCATION. i HAVE 3 CHILDREN IN BOOSTER SEATS, AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE MIDDLE CHILD IN FIRST WHERE SEAT BELT IS LOCATED UNDER (NOT BESIDE) BOOSTER SEAT. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD WHERE THE PRESSURE AND WEIGHT OF THE CHILD IS DIRECTLY ON THE SEAT BELT BUCKLE. WHEN AN ADULT IS BACK THERE, IT IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. PLEASE CHECK THIS OUT FOR YOURSELVES, AND LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. AM I CRAZY? THANKS
edge-ucate
I know this is starting to get a little dated, but I recently purchased a 2011 Edge and I agree that this is an issue. I had to sit in the middle position for a short ride, and if I had to go any further than I did, I think I would have unbuckled. They need a fix to allow this center seat belt latch to be moved out of the way so that you are not sitting on it.

They should have done what other CUVs are doing... just give the rear seat a center console instead of a middle "seat".

I do think there is room for 3 in the back, at least smaller people, but it just does not work with the center seat belt latch in that location. Does anyone know if there is a "fix" or solution for this?

carbonedge+
AM I CRAZY? THANKS I'm sure someone on this forum may be qualified to answer this... It's definitely not a true 5 seater. I've sat in the middle briefly just to check it out and there is no way I could ride there very long. Not only is it narrow, but the seat back of the pull down console is stiff and flat as a board! 57haddreams
My 2017 Ford Edge...almost impossible to latch the rear seat belts. Not safe for any rear seat passengers. I thought I had 5 passenger car, but due to this issue, I have a 2 passenger car.
