I just reiterated his sentence in a unbelieving tone and then waited for his answer... he had the audacity to tell me "yes" to my face with a smile :angry: . That was about the beginning of the end of my dealings with him. I found another dealer that didn't play such games and leased my '11 FWD Limited. Were you or someone you know take for a ride? I have experienced these tactics from salesman-dealers when I was shopping for my Edge. Not pointing fingers as I did not go to every dealer domestic or foreign. But most where from the Asian dealers. The dealers that I visited did try or "force" me that I had to buy a security package, notable the glass etching. When I said no they said the vehicles are etched as soon as they are delivered meaning I had to pay for it. I don't think so and walked out. The Ford dealer never pushed or even mentioned anything about the etching or nitrogen in the tires. They did mention if I wanted to buy an extended warranty, undercoating, etc. it would be my choice not theirs. If the dealers would offer it as an dealer option and if I wanted it I would buy but please make it our choice. I am sure some buyers would buy it.
