WeatherTech + Nifty Combo + Ultimate Reflector sunshade = Full Set
cal3thousand posted a topic in Classifieds
I am turning my lease in after 2 short years and have some accessories to sell! AFAIK, these should fit ALL Edge models. If it doesn't fit yours, you're weird! Nifty Catch-It Front mats in Black - Retail is $100 WeatherTech 2nd row Liner in Black - Retail is $55 WeatherTech Cargo Liner in Black - Retail is $100 Intro-Tech Ultimate Reflector - Retail is $60 (My Review of the shade: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/7780-intro-tech-ultimate-sunshade-review/) I bought these items about 1.5 years ago and they have served their purpose beautifully. I take care of my stuff, so these things have a TON of life left. If you look at the pictures, it will be difficult to say there were used. The cargo mats all have the original texture to the rubber and NOTHING has worn off. If you have never heard of the Nifty Catch-It mats, you are in for a treat. They are ALL WEATHER CARPETED mats than can literally hold a gallon of water each. I personally hose them out every few vacuumings and they come out looking new again. Just take a look at the photos. The carpet on the front mats look and feel great (I go bare foot as much as I can). The front mats have ALL the nibs on the underside and NEVER move. The stitched logos and badging (where applicable) are all in great shape and look nearly new. The sunshade (Item #4) has the most "use/wear" and is still in fine/good/dandy working condition. There's a couple threads starting to come loose, but it's very minor and you can't tell unless you study it. It is still perfectly rigid with no bends or tears or anything glaring. Over $300 in retail, in great condition. I want to get $185 for everything (plus shipping) OR LOCAL PICKUP in Los Angeles (I can work with you possibly on this). I want to sell this as a set, but anyone interested in just pieces, post your desire. If there's enough demand to split it, I will consider. Thanks for looking!! Here are the pics. BTW, the edges of the WeatherTechs are just like that from being rolled up. If you buy them new from the factory, they will arrive just the same and then settle to their shape in a day or so (quicker in hot weather). That's how they looked when I received them, but they fit perfectly after they return to shape. You can see in the last photo vs. the 5th photo, the cargo liner started to return its shape by the time I got back to photographing 5 minutes later in the sun. . I'll have to go home and take pics of the shade and its bag. -
Background: Website purchased: AutoAccessories Garage (http://www.autoaccesoriesgarage.com) Date Ordered: 6/21/20112:40PM PDT Date Arrived: 6/28/201111:00AM PDT Shipping Costs: $ FREE $- Drop shipped from Intro-Tech in Ontario, CA Shipping Carrier: UPS Link: http://www.autoaccessoriesgarage.com//Interior-Accessories/Intro-Tech-Ultimate-Reflector-Sun-Shade?utm_source=order-first-time&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=order-confirmation In my last car, I had the SunShield shade (~$40, iirc) and was fairly happy with it. It kept the cabin cool and fit well. But I was always looking for a way to prop it up in the middle as it would sag due to the lack of support. With any roll-up sunshade, you have to expect some sagging in the middle. With the Edge, I wanted to make sure that no sagging was going to take place. It has a VERY large windshield and a sagging shade would real bad. After searching everywhere for a shade that met my requirements, I finally found Intro-Tech and their "Ultimate Reflective Sunshade". Every site that sells these things has them listed at $59.95 with some offering free shipping. I suggest buying from vendor out of your state that offers free shipping since it will be custom made and drop shipped anyway (to save from taxes). About the shade from the company: Each Intro-Tech Reflector Sunshade is custom-made to your exact vehicle for a perfect fit and maximum windshield coverage. It features a 6-layer design (graphite felt,1/4" thermal foam board, 2 fiber layers, air cushions, and Mylar) that isboth durable and insulating. The Reflector also includes a storage bag so youcan keep it clean and secure while you drive. Your Intro-Tech Ultimate Reflector Sunshade is backed with a Lifetime Warranty. I absolutely love the shade. And for this price, it had better be a love thing! There are a couple things people always ask about, and that's fitment and rigidity. It fits nearly perfectly. There are 2 small gaps, one oneach side that is about 5mm wide and a rather large cut out for the mirror to fit. Since the shade is absolutely rigid, they needed to make the mirror cutout larger so you can install the shade without bending it. Here's a couple shots of what I'm taking about: About rigidity, take a look at this picture and keep in mind that there is nothing holding it up and it is nearly flush with the windshield: Features I like: -The fit is awesome -The materials are of the quality you would expect at this price. -It's two sided, so you can use the dark side in winter to absorb and keep heat in your car! -Comes with a pouch to hold it (although the pouch is a "2-sizes-fits-all" type deal and is meant to accommodate even larger shades) -It folds quickly, way faster than the roll-up with velcro. (Once you fold up your mirrors you just "collapse" it back to a stack while resting on the dash and then stick it in the pouch) -It keeps the car really cool. Folded: Things to consider: -It is very large, but that's due tothe size of the Edge's windshield. Any shade worth anything will be this large. -It costs $59.95. That's a lot for ashade, but this thing is SOLID and my dash/leather are worth it. My Rating: * * * * * / 5 I would recommend this to another Edge owner or any other car owner for that matter. If you care about your comfort, dash and rest of your interior and/or want a quick privacy shade, this is for you! It has the added benefit of being useful in the winter and comes with a storage pouch. Happy Edging! (I am in no way affiliate with AutoAccessories Garage nor Intro-Tech)

Intro-Tech Ultimate Sunshade Review
cal3thousand replied to cal3thousand's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Returning my Edge on April 1st 2013 (Lease end). No joke So, I'm selling my accessories. This shade is still in good condition and still kicks ass. It's about to get hot, so you definitely want one to save your dash and sweat. (I'm using the funds to purchase another one of these excellent shades for my new-to-me car). $35 shipping to your door in the CONUS. Canadians PM me to figure out if it will be cost prohibitive. Includes the crappy bag if I can find it. -
This is something that we need to have on this site for easy reference, if there are 2 bulbs listed for the same application, pull the bulb and check: 2011 FORD Edge (With HID (high intensity discharge) headlamps): High & low beam headlamp HID-D3S Parking light 3457A Front turn signal 3457A Rear turn signal 3757A Tail light 3157 Stop light 3157 High mount stop light LED License plate 168 Back up light 921 Front sidemarker LED Rear sidemarker 3157 Map light 2825 Dome light 578 Step/Courtesy light 37 578 2011 FORD Edge (With halogen capsule headlamps) High & low beam headlamp 9012 all else is the same as the HID Limited models 2010 FORD Edge and older: Low beam headlamp H11 High beam headlamp 9005 Parking light 3157A Front turn signal 3157A Rear turn signal 4157 Tail light 4157 Stop light 4157 High mount stop light LED Fog/Driving light H11 License plate 168 Back up light 921 Rear sidemarker 194 Map light 2825 Dome light 578 Step/Courtesy light 2825 37 ____________________________________________________

If they make that, I'm all over it. Why are people surprised that they are not offering a 6 cylinder version? Every maker worth it's salt is moving towards direct injection turbo charged engines with smaller displacement. Back in the day, there was no "replacement for displacement"... nowadays we call it BOOST! Ford will probably put in the twin scroll turbo technology refined in the Taurus SHO. Direct injection itself should add about 15% efficiency. 2.5L would be plenty. Could be tuned to 400 HP without much effort.

Thule Trunk Mount Bike Rack Install - 11' Edge Sport
cal3thousand replied to jnight99's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Very nice rack. I cringe at the thought of trunk racks, but this one seems very good and similar to the Saris bones. Are you able to open the hatch with that thing on there? -
Could be number of things... how was your gas mileage during this stint?

2013 SEL-Appearance Package w/ Pics / Matte Black Poll
cal3thousand replied to ArcherAve's topic in Welcome Forum!
Matte Black the grille :shades: BTW, good choice on the appearance package, those wheels are HOT! -
Look at the frontal area on an Edge versus your Altima, no comparison. And how do you expect to get the EPA estimated mileage when driving a good 15% faster? Remember that drag is an exponent of your velocity. Double speed = 4 times the force required. You want to compare that Nissan with a Ford? Try a Fusion Want to compare a Nissan to this Edge? Look at Murano. I haven't heard of anyone else here with black tail pipes. Obviously something is not right with your particular vehicle. Have pics?

Now that's how you take a picture!

I'm with kc300c, stay away from kid haulers. Basically, away from anyone that doesn't understand how to value a car's appearance and worth. Old ladies, guys in 2 door beaters, and the SUVs that have those stickers indicating a small clan is on board.

LED Strip Retrofit. '11 Limited. DIY.
cal3thousand replied to frybel's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I'm digging the offset pipe style. I think it's very unique and still has quite an OE look to it. GOOD JOB! only thing I can point out about it is that the light looks more intense on the bottom. Is that light pipe still being "lit" from the stock vertical firing LED or is it getting some light from the front facers? -

Now those are bright! Nice intense light straight forward with good spill. -

I imagine that you will need to interface directly to the LEDs to use an external PWM circuit. That box that Phillips uses might already be cycling the LEDs to limit duty cycle. Have an oscilloscope? -
Awesome! I'm super excited now... can't wait to be happier than a pig in poop!

Glad you got it done, but I would have been more worried about breaking something rather than braking something. I kid.....I kid.... Here's a link for future reference for anyone else looking: Edge Front Bumper Cover Pull EDIT: I should add that 2011+ Edges are basically the same as pre-2011 models when doing this.
