Not Receivinging Recall and TSBs

Recommended Posts

I bought my 22011 Limited in December 2010 and haven't received one Recall or TSB notice. Are these supposed to be sent out to owners when they are issued?

Recalls - yes. TSBs - no. TSBs are nothing more than a known problems list to help the service dept pinpoint and fix reported problems.

Recalls are safety related and there haven't been any on the 2011s that I recall.

Are you referring to the sync/MFT update notices?

If you're not having any problems then there is nothing to fix. If you are having problems you report those to the dealer who knows a new version is available that might address the problem.

It's not different than having an engine problem.

Syncmyride will notify you of new features but not bug fixes.

Yep a dealer will not give you any TSB info unless they perform a TSB, keeps people from getting stuff repaired that does not need to be. If you report a problem and there is a TSB about the issue they will fix it and tell you there was a TSB about it. I just had this with my stock SE radio. Controls were intermittent and would jump from high to low volume. Ford had a TSB about it and I didn't even know till I picked up the car.

Now recalls on the other hand they have to let you know.
