Bluetooth MAP Profile for CyanogenMod

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I recently happened upon some code that was written by Erin Yueh that would (presumable) allow anyone with the skills to compile Android ROMs to add BT MAP profile to their phones.

CyanogenMod has been making custom ROMs for Android since Cupcake (1.1) but has not included this code due to lack of interest. A couple of us on CyanogenMod.com are trying to get demand up so that this will be implemented.

If you have an Android phone and want to see this functionality, please go here http://code.google.c...857#makechanges and just click the star to "+1" it.

Please go here if you would like to follow any conversation on the BT MAP developments: http://forum.cyanoge...__gopid__206931

EDIT: Do not add a comment on that site unless you have code to include. If you want to indicate support, just 'star' the issue.

4th to star it

I am also made a CM donation, does that help in any way?

AWESOME!!!

Making a donation helps. I'm not sure if it directly has an impact, but these guys work for free basically. The donations allow them to get the right devices in their hands so they can continue to develop. I don't think Steve (Cyanogen) is making a living doing this, but it might help them divert more free time to working on it.

I don't think it's that much more work than what they've already been doing since the code is written already. They would have to compile and test it in the nightly ROM builds.
