rrose Posted July 12, 2011 Report Share Posted July 12, 2011 Hey Guys - I just towed a small trailer with my '11 Edge for the first time. Its a Limited with the factory 2" hitch receiver. I put my 2" hitch into the receiver and it is sloppy loose. Anyone else notice this issue? The hitch that I put in it is the one that I use all the time on my '08 F-250 and it fits fine. I installed a receiver for an extended tie off point for securing my kayak's stern tiedown line. The fist time I drove with the receiver in I heard a lot of racket. I've ridden in several trucks towing boats and trailers, but never heard or noticed the constant slamming. I ordered a Boone No Rattle Hitch Wedge http://www.etrailer.com/Hitch-Accessories/Boone-Outdoor/93347.html which works great. The only thing I've had in my hitch was a bike rack that included a threaded pin and hitch combo that kept everything tight, so I've never noticed wobble.
