I go on vacation on Sat and had planned on towing my motorcyle (650lbs) on my motorcycle trailer (300lbs). Rumor has it you're supposed to wait 500 miles before towing...does that apply even if you're training something this light? I was just on the Ford website and from what I've read, the tow package is NOT available on the Sport model. That said, I sure you could have a aftermarket receiver hitch installed without worrying about not having the factory tow package since you're only talking about towing 1000 lbs. I on the other hand have an occasional requirement to tow around 2500 lbs. I would love to get the Sport, but I guess I'll have to settle for the Limited with the factory tow package.
