My 2017 3.5 V6 NA with 20k miles had a starting issue this morning. I get in car and push start, the car cranks and try’s to start then times out. Push again, same thing, on third try it finally starts. It acted like an older car that was flooded. The car ran perfectly normal after that and started fine every time after that. No check engine light so no code. I’ll mention it to the dealer next oil change, but I’m sure they will say no problem found. Any Ideas? thanks Lenny

Can the dealer reprogram it? For a price, I’m sure

I found it, it stays on for a couple hrs after the ignition is switched off. I was hoping to find something that went off as soon as the ignition is turned off. That’s okay, I’ll use it anyway for now

I do, but I think it’s 110 volt. Also I’m looking for something closer to the tailgate.

Any ideas of what I can tap into for power in the rear of a (2015-2018)? Switched or timed. I want to install a rear facing dash cam with out having to run a wire to the front. Thanks

Ignition switched power on 2017 Edge
blockisle9 replied to blockisle9's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Update: I installed a fuse tap on fuse 23 (power delay) and this female cigarette plug under the dash. The wire snaked right down the a-pillar to under the dash. The wire tucked nicely under the headliner. I chose this inexpensive Blueskysea B1W camera, its very small and fit nicely under the rear view mirror and is hardly noticeable. The most difficult thing was reaching the fuse panel. -
Ignition switched power on 2017 Edge

Yea, its a new webcam. Im in and out of the car a lot during the day, so with that delay the web cam will be recording 3 min clips all day. I just figured with all the writing over and over the SD card it would effect it. Plus more ware on the camera. Is it difficult to tap into a fuse? -
Ignition switched power on 2017 Edge
blockisle9 replied to blockisle9's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I had a chance to test it today. It’s 75 minutes. That’s to long. I’ll try and see if I could get to a switched fuse and install a fuse tap. Off hand, would anyone happen to know what fuse is a good choice? Normally I would just test a bunch, but from what I can see the fuse box is a son of a gun to get to.. -

That will be perfect! I’ll have to test it tomorrow. I thought I had it on for awhile, maybe not long enough. I hope your correct. -
Is there a way to change the cigarette power point from on all the time to only on when ignition is on? If not is there anything under or behind the glove box thats switched? lastly, if none of the above how about what fuse under the dash? Thanks for your help

The H9’s are 10 watts higher than the H11’s. Wouldn’t the extra heat damage the projectors? Those projectors are pretty pricey!

Anything new?? -
I looked for awhile and was also told stay away from LED. I ended up going with a HID set up swapping out my halogens on my 17 Titanium. https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/hid-ballasts/35w-2a88-hylux-canbus-ballasts.html https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/hid-bulbs/h-series/nhk-h11.html

Photos of my HID Install. -
It looks like the left and possibly the right (hard to tell in the pic) the light seems to cut off lower than the center.

My 2017 halogen lamps are terrible. I did a lot of research on line and everything I read is the LED are junk. I just purchased an HID kit today from Lightwerkz Global Inc. They highly recommended these https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/hid-ballasts/35w-2a88-hylux-canbus-ballasts.htmlwith these lamps https://www.lightwerkz.net/index.php/components/hid-bulbs/h-series/nhk-h11.html Other websites also recommended these. There supposed to be easy to install, plug and play. I may need to get a couple of the rubber boots that go on the back of the housing just so I don’t have to cut the originals. I just have to figure out the size. Does anyone know what size this is https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10211304359833395&set=pcb.479072962489064&type=3&theater&ifg=1 I’m looking to purchase these TJTECH 80mm Rubber Housing Seal Cap for Headlight Install HID Conversion Kit Retrofit, Headlight Dust Cover for LED Conversion Kit ,Pack of 2 (80mm) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XFVS492/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_tai_eNvxAbCVA424B -

I don't want to sound stupid, but what does TED stand for? Also, when in heating mode, if the fan is on low, what controls the temperature when you change settings on the switch (hi, low, medium)? I I'm assuming some kind of blend door. But You know what happens when one assumes..... In cooling, the switch seems to change the fan speed. Thanks guys Lenny
