MFT album artwork on USB drive

Recommended Posts

I may be doing something wrong here.

I cannot get MFT in my 2012 edge to display album artwork using a USB thumbdrive.

Works just fine plugging my iphone in via USB and using it as an ipod.

I have imbedded the .mp3 files with album artwork on my computer, and they show up on my computer.

I am using a mac to do this, would this be causing an issue?

any tips appreciated!

I'm not sure it will use the embedded album artwork - it may only work with the built-in gracenotes db.

well, I formatted the usb stick, adjusted all album artwork to 500x500, let the vehicle re-index the "new" drive and still no go.

gracenote artwork and media management is turned off.

this is annoying

Try a fuse pull, if that doesn't allow the art to display you can try a master reset to delete the index, that way it rebuilds from scratch when you plug it back into the car.

I used to get my album artwork from my USB stick - not all, but about 70% - but it hasn't worked since the dealership updated the system software a few weeks ago.

The latest version 2.11 fixed some stuff but also broke other stuff.

If I were you, I would reboot the system by pulling fuse 29 or loading the Delayed Reboot program from a USB stick.

or wait for it to reboot its self.

Thanks,I think I may try that. However, yesterday it went through another of its black-screen, then "Scheduled Maintenance" process. Is that the same as a reboot that you would get by pulling fuse 29?
