As far as I know these are the correct part # for 2007 , 2008 and 2009 EDGE and MKX

Use this list at your own risk , double check the part # and application if using the numbers here.

This list may cut down some searching for some people . I plan to keep adding to this on my own system,

when I compile a list of performance parts as more become available .

No problem , being a parts guy its comes naturally. I have a short list of performance parts so far ,but I won't submit that until a few more things come out. I've found j slotted rotors , performance pads that should be available late this year to early next .I've found two cold air intake systems . The Steeda computer enhancements ,with CAI and exhaust will be there . Also trying to find some step plates that fits nicely like the MOMO ones on my Audi ,but without the big pricetag. In this same area I've been checking out dead pedals too , to keep crap off the carpet. So far two sets of lowering springs are out there . Looking for strut tower brace to appear and I'm wondering if a modification for the stability program will come about . At some point I'll measure the rear sway bar for urethane bushing size. I also wrote Steeda customer service for a few things that they should look into. Hopefully my input is appreciated there as well. :stats:

ps: I put it in Word format to make it an easier cuts and paste to your own systems and then you can add / delete for a customized document of your own.

Ahhh...the list of mods grows. It's the wife's Edge and she's not sure what to think of all my "wants". I've already done a few things (new sound, hardwired nav, tinted tails..). I want a magnaflow exhaust, hoping that it doesn't sound too ricey like the delta 40 series. With a flash tune, intake and exhaust, she'll thank me when she stomps that BMW from the redlight.. :shift:

Most people knew H & R and Eibach have lowering springs ,but today I found H&R rear sway bar also exists . Now if we could get someone to modify the program for the stability control we could work even more on the cornering . Don't know when I'll approach the wife on lowering ,maybe after we've had it 24 months or so ,then I can tell her tires will wear better with it lowered. Just a thought.

H & R FWD or AWD rear sway bar #71605 $ 250.00

H & R LOWERING SPRINGS fwd and awd # 51605 $300

Most of this is available elsewhere in the forum, but it fits here as well. I’ve zeroed in on bulbs because I’m in process of converting to LEDs. I'm sure many of U have found there are discrepancies between owner’s manual, Sylvania and the real world. What follows is for ’07 Edge.

1. Sylvania lists high mount brake light as LED, which is true for ‘08 & ’09. The ’07 owner’s manual says 5 #W5W (Sylvania #2825) which I found to be the case.

2. OM calls for C5W (which is correct) for license light & OM (pg 82) shows procedure to change this bulb. However, bulb illustrated is a festoon shape. Sylvania #6418 is a festoon. (This appears to be corrected in 3rd printing of '07 OM.)

3. Courtesy (cargo?) light is 578 (not 2825). This 578 bulb is also used in 2nd row dome and reading lights. These are 10 X 42 mm festoons.

4. Sylvania calls the map light (front seat) 3886X. A search on the internet shows this to be an “old style” miniature

with a BA9S bayonet base. OM calls for 12V6W which is its voltage & wattage. That would be a .5

amp bulb. Use #194 or C5W or W5W if U want a little brighter light. #194 is .27amps/2 candle power, C5W

is.37amps/3.6 cp, W5W is.37amps/4 cp. Don’t know why amperage is same but cp is different. If U want more

on voltage, amperage, wattage & candle power go to:

http://www.gelighting.com/na/business_ligh...index_specs.pdf

This one is more specific to headlight & fog lamp capsules:

http://www.danielsternlighting.com/tech/bu...bulb_types.html

PS: Pulling out 194 bulbs is easier when wearing nitrile (and I suppose latex) gloves. They get U some traction.

Hi guys. :D As well intentioned as these types of lists are (and I know the people who posted here have the best of intentions for helping others), please keep one very important fact in mind: Parts can and do change from model year to model year. In fact, they will sometimes change in the middle of model years. And when they do, the part # changes. Even basic parts like TPMS sensors, thermostats and lock buttons often change. In fact, some of the part #'s contained in the lists above are already obsolete or only relevant for one model year. And how is someone to know what model year they are relevant to?

That is the problem with lists like this. Within a short period of time, the list will contain obsolete part #'s. Not all, but some. And how do any of us know which are still valid and which are obsolete? We don't unless we check with an authorized retailer/Dealer who has the latest information.

Therefore, before ordering something (that may not be returnable for a refund), you should always double-check part #'s at the Parts Department of a Ford/Lincoln Mercury Dealer (or whoever makes your particular vehicle).

They have the latest computer database for parts.

Just a recommendation.

Whatever you decide to do, good luck. :beerchug:

PS - I know Black Ice did include this statement in his original post, "Use this list at your own risk, double check the part # and application if using the numbers here." However, I just wanted to emphasize it for those who may have missed it or are newer to things automotive.

The ones I listed are still valid (till yesterday...)

Also I do not think that anybody will order parts blindly, you usually call ask for the price, sometimes ever bargain the price, and they will give you the part number for your VIN, this list is just as a reference, to see for example if one part that you saw listed somewhere, and you are interested on it, will fit your vehicle. Also if they are discontinued, unless for any defect, a recall etc...in which case they do a major replacement, to avoid the use of the old ones again, the old always work, just that they are not longer available, as probably they change a supplier or so...
