Boy's and Girls, The MKX has 2222.4 miles on it. Build date was end of March '07. Dealer has an offer for free oil changes for a year. Call me stupid, but don't call me late for dinner. At my age, the most important thing's in life are food and sleep. So, I've done a lot of researching and have personally decided to start a new OIL regime.. 2 Vehicles... a 2.3L and 3.5L Ford's... 2.3L has less than 4k miles also. I ended up buying 4 Gals. of AMSoil ASM 0W-20 for both. Also the Lincoln will use a EAO34 Oil filter. That oil has a recommended oil change of up to 25K miles. It's sitting in the garage now waiting. Now today I just ordered another 4 gal's of their oil, SSO 5W-30, that can go 35K miles. The Lincoln is NOT a beater, everyday drive, I have a few others for that. This is one CUV, I am proud of and want to hold onto for a long time. I will dump a lot of money into it, but I know it will never show up when it gets re-sold. A Ford 5W-20 MotorCraft oil is fine and great for everyone. My block commissar said so. But my capitalistic ways, I wanted just a little bit better. I don't know If I will still be around here in the long term future to post reports, as I'm not going to do much driving with it, more than likely - maybe a change once a year. Remember their is no definitive "BEST OIL", the best oil , is whatever works for you.

Due to the factory forgetting to install any DVD players, I decided I would just go with an iPod, but but i have to install an album rack in the rear to keep all my music sorted by genre and artist. There are 3 big boxes there now holding my 8-tracks. At this rate, the vehicle will be soon filled with music. Can't wait. Any one know is those electrostatic speakers from Magnaplan will work? I could always try to get my Klipshorns in if not.

Reprogrammed for what? They replaced mine and they download the old settings and reinstall them in the new one, so that would be the same - to me- as a reprogram. No Charge

Looking at the picture @ 400%: That could be some type of add-on to the Edge, but it's more of a wheel lip protector / aftermarket kit. I can't tell how far it sticks out from the sheet metal. ??? Most of you won't have your Edge's past 6 years/last payment, You'll drop big bucks on this and wheels and tires, Stereos and so much other stuff, why don't you just waste the money on a house or try to pay one off faster? I hope times don't get tight for you, like it's beginning to happen everywhere. Sales are starting to slide badly for Ford right now, it's really getting bad. It's made to appeal to those who like to add things on. If you buy one, make sure it's painted in contrasting colors like that to stick out so others know you spent all that money on it.

From the looks of the photo's compared side by side with anyone's Edge, it looks just like paint. Before I posted I went and looked at mine, and could not see that the Hyseries bodylines looked different. To see a difference, I guess you have to print out the picture and hold it next to your car. The paint might be causing an optical illusion. Still studying those photo's, I doubt that it has oversize diameter tires/wheels and had to have flares added. Plugging the numbers into a program would show how high the sidewalls would have to be, to still equal a new 20" tire/wheel from the factory. I honestly think it's still just paint. By the responce of people here, Flares, with or without cladding doesn't seem to be giving people a thrill. Sometimes, I don't put much stock into what a reviewer writes, All of the Orange HYseries in those pictures, looks like it was added after the pictures were taken with Photoshop.

Also in that picture you'll see that Those are not add-on wheel flares but just paint. Compare the wheel opening's to your own. Here is an example of the body cladding on an all black Edge/MKX, notice how the plastic has a dull gray look when mated to a black paint? When you run out of Fuel, you'll be glad to know you can siphon from the front one into the rear one now.Hose is included in the Emergency Roadside Assistance Package.

White Sand / White Chocolate : is a White Pearl Tri-Coat paint. I don't know why they don't call it a Pearl, as that sounds much better. It bright sunlight that color reflects like chrome. Other than the wheels & badging, this is what it will look like.
