  1. What does insurance rates have to do with much horsepower Ford decides to give 2015 Edge Sport? How much horsepower do you think the 2015 Edge Sport will have? From what Omar said the only thing holding back the horsepower on the Edge is the transmission.
  2. Now we have to wait for the numbers for the 2.7 Ecoboost, and it has to be much more than the 2.3 Ecoboost.
  3. The S is for Sport when you want to use the paddle shifter full time. You can use the paddle shifter when you're in drive, but it will only hold that gear you selected at that time. Once you're out of that gear it goes back to drive.
  4. Jim, The power lift gate on the 2011-2014 has one strut, and the 2015 has two struts. Is that what you are referring to? I like the park assist video, and it is feature I can see myself using alot.
  5. More 2.7L ecoboost engine info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l9VhPYEgUeY
  6. The 2.3L in the MKC is rated at 285hp/305lb-ft, but the 2.3L EB is not an option for the 2015 Edge. The engine options for the 2015 Edge are 2.0L EB 4cyl, 3.5L NA V6 and 2.7L EB V6.
  7. Omar, I did not take in account the transmission limitation, and I did not know the SHO 3.5EB torque is limited to 350lbs-ft, so the max torque for the Edge Sport will probably be around 350lbs-ft. It should still feel good though, and still give you good gas mileage when not driven hard and the start/stop turned on.
  8. Based on an article from Truck Trend I'm going to guess the torque figures are between 350lbs-ft to 380lbs-ft for the 2.7EB. The horsepower/torque for the 3.5EB is 365hp and 420lbs-ft, and Ford is going to keep the 2.7EB horsepower and torque below the 3.5EB. The 2015 Sport will have some balls this time compared to the 2011-2014 Sport 305hp and 280lbs-ft.
  9. Jim, I think you may be right, and I hope they do include it when the production models hit the street. I think they will group it in some type package, but hope they make it standard feature on the Sport model, and thanks for the YouTube Fordowner link. Now that we got that out the way. What do you think the horsepower for the 2.7L EcoBoost will be? I'm guessing between 330hp to 350hp. Please see the link below to more info on the 2.7L EcoBoost. http://m.trucktrend.com/features/consumer/1410_ford_2_7l_ecoboost_v_6_inside_look/
  10. After looking at Explorer window panel, and 2015 Edge window panel, I don't see the switch for the folding mirrors on the Edge. I'm not sure why did not include that feature, but it would have been nice to have it. Maybe they will include in a mid cycle refresh.
  11. Well they both have hexagon shaped grills, and vertical shaped air conditioner vents, and I've seen a lot of Hyundai Santa Fe, but I've never mistaken one for the 2015 Edge Sport. I have a 2013 Sport, and the 2015 Sport looks just as good. Just me thou.
  12. The panels look identical, but I'm not sure which one is the power folding switch.
  13. I think the switch is on the driverside window panel.
  14. The MKC and the 2015 Edge share the same driverside window switch panel and I wonder if the Edge has the power folding mirrors, but they are not mentioning it. When the MKC was, first, introduced they did not mention the power folding mirrors, so maybe the Edge has it and will be mention/added later on when they go into production. The MKC power folding mirrors are activated when you turn on/off the car by the key fob. The speedometer in the Edge concept did not make it to the production car, but the speedometer display is different than what I see in my 2013 Sport. The transmission gear display is in a different position and the two small display next to the speedometer show different functions that can be activated by the buttons on the steering wheel.
  15. To each his own, and I like it a lot. I see no reason to not upgrade from my 2013-Sport to it. I can't wait til the drive reviews start to come in.
  16. I think they will be available on the MKX as they are on the MKC, but I prefer the Edge Sport over the MKX.
  17. The Lincoln MKC has power folding mirrors, so I don't understand why Ford would leave them off the 2015 Edge. Power folding mirrors is common feature these days on cars in the Edge's price range. I'm a little disappointed they did not include them, but it's not a deal breaker, and I still plan on getting the Sport model.
  18. Anyone see any info on power folding mirrors? I can't seem to find any info regarding them.
  19. The 2.7 is the same engine in the F150 and it has start stop. http://motrolix.com/2014/02/feature-spotlight-the-2015-f-150-and-its-new-2-7-liter-ecoboost-v6/ I'm fine with what I've seen so far as to what the Sport has to offer and it is better equipped than my 2013 Sport.
  20. I will take a 2015 Edge Sport with the Fusion vents any day over my 2013 Edge Sport with the chassis from 2006 and the laggy Microsoft MFT. I can't wait to place my order for the 2015 Sport. The 2015 checks most of my must haves, and Ford surprised me with the 2.7-liter V6 Ecoboost twin turbo with start/stop tech and can run on 87 octane. The electric sand has my name written all over it.
  21. The gold color is called electric sand, and it does look good. I just want to see the color in person before I make my decision.
  22. I have 2013 Sport, and I can't wait to get out of it and get into the 2015 Sport. The 2015 Sport has more features, better engine and more interior space. 2015 cannot get here soon, so I can place my order.
  23. The vents bother you that much? Did you notice the 2015 Sport has a new 2.7 twin turbo ecoboost engine, and the interior dimensions are larger than the current Edge? I will take the 2015 vents and all the new features any day over my 2013 Edge Sport. I cannot wait to get out my 2013 Sport and get into the 2015 Sport. Early next year cannot get here soon enough.

    Galaxy S4/S5

I do not have an S4/S5, but I have the Samsung Note 3 with Kit Kat 4.4.2 and I have not noticed any connectivity issues.
  25. When I renewed my lease I returned my lease to a different Ford dealer. They took the vehicle with no questions asked.
