The standard engine is a 3.7-liter V6, projected to deliver 300 horsepower and 280 lb.-ft. of torque, based on preliminary test data. Both engines are mated to a six-speed automatic transmission with push-button shift and SelectShift®. Front-wheel drive is standard, with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive optional. The addition of the integral link rear suspension, upgrades to the body structure and chassis components, make the new model the best-handling, best-riding and quietest Lincoln MKX ever. Available Lincoln Drive Control, a suite of ride-enhancing technologies, optimizes performance and offers three distinct modes: Normal, Sport and Comfort. The available front camera deploys from behind the Lincoln Star badging between the two front grilles. The camera system also offers a 180-degree split view, which can be helpful in looking out in cross-traffic situations. The 360-degree view shows up to 7 feet all around the vehicle. Lincoln MKX has an ultrasonic sensing system with 12 sensors enabling the full range of available parking-assist features: front rear side sensing, perpendicular and parallel parking assist and park out assist. Key driver assist and safety innovations added The all-new Lincoln MKX adds pre-collision assist, which may help avoid or lessen the severity some frontal crashes with another vehicle or pedestrian in certain situations and conditions. If the system detects another vehicle or pedestrian, the system will first provide a collision warning and then the system will automatically apply braking if the driver has not taken any corrective action. Also new is the Auto Hold feature, which relieves the driver from having to press the brake pedal continuously to keep the vehicle stationary in traffic. Auto Hold releases the brakes when the accelerator pedal is pressed. No, it cannot be upgraded to Sync 3. If you want Sync 3 you will have to wait for the 2016 Edge or the 2016 Lincoln MKX.

I will get use to the push button transmission along with the Harmon Revel 19 speakers audio system. The 2016 MKX exterior, and interior is completely different than my 2013 Ford Edge, and it will offer more features than the 2015 Ford Edge. The mirrors look identical to the MKC ones, and should offer the power folding option that the 2015 Edge will not have. I can't wait to see the production model next month.

That is the old navigation screen, but I heard the Sync3 should be there by the sale date around June-July.

It is good to see that Lincoln will be adding a new audio system to the MKX and not carrying over the prior generation model system. I can't wait to see the production model and the features it will have.

If you can, you should wait to compare the 2015 Edge against the 2016 MKX. I was all set to get the 2015 Edge, but have since changed my mind, and I'm going to wait for the 2016 MKX. I think the 2016 MKX will have certain features that are important to me that are not available on the 2015 Edge.

I just though the Edge concept would be on the same platform as the production version, and it would have been nice to see the gauges from the concept in the production version. The gauges are not in the production version, and they decided to use the same gauges from the 2011-2014 Edge in the 2015 Edge. Like I said it is what is, and I'm moving on to the 2016 MKX.

I figured it had nothing to do with the platform, but the moderator mentioned the platform. The gauges were on the Edge concept, and I don’t know why they did not include in the production version, but it is what is. I will be waiting for the 2016 MKX as I think it will check a lot of my must haves.

Sorry about that and I edited my post from Focus to Fusion. I don't see a reason to carry over the Fusion and old generation Edge gauges to the 2015 Edge. The Edge concept had the same gauges as the 2016 Explorer and 2014 MKC. I am not sure what platform the Edge concept was on, but I think it was probably the Fusion platform. I think the 2016 MKC will not carry over the gauges from the 2011-2014 MKC. The MKC production version will not be shown until next and I can't wait to see what Lincoln comes up with as the MKC is a good looking SUV, but it too small for my taste. There is also no mistaken a Lincoln MKC or MKX for another vehicle. Edge Concept 2016 Explorer 2014 Lincoln MKC

I don't see too many similarities, but the guage cluster looks identical to the one in Edge concept. I'm not sure why Ford didn't give the Edge the same gauges, but instead just lifted the interior from the Fusion and put it in the Edge. I'm going to wait to see what the production 2016 MKX looks like before I do anything. Lincoln will put the features I'm looking for into the MKX as the MKC has some of them now.

The 2015 Edge will not appeal to everyone, but I'll take the 2015 Ford Sport Edge with the below new features any day over your 2011-2004 Edge Sport. The 2006-2014 Edge is riding on a platform from 2006, and Ford wanted to start from scratch and not use the 2006-2014 platform. The interior material will be much better in the 2015 Ege with soft touch material on the door panels instead of a hard plastic in the current generation.
