  1. I turn the B&O up to drown out the fake exhaust. It's OK in drive, but when you put it in sport mode it sounds bad. The ST is big step up from the 2011 Sport, and if you decide to get one you'll enjoy it.
  2. I'll break it down to good and bad for you, and I'm biased toward the ST. My previous cars were 2011, 2013 and 2015 Edge Sports. My ST has 401A package, cold weather package, white platinum paint , and 21-inch premium gloss black wheels. Good: Ride Quality Handling Power Steering feel Seats Technology SYNC 3 B&O stereo Build quality Looks Bad: Piped in exhaust sound
  3. Something to hold you over until the end of the month.
  4. They're a few on the lot in the New York area. I picked mines up two weeks ago at Tower Ford in Great Neck, N.Y..
  5. I never paid much attention to this, but I can confirm the 2019 ST has adaptive headlights. I turned the vehicle on this morning, and it did the system check turning the headlights left to right. If I turn the steering wheel left to right, the lights move in the same direction.
  6. On the paper, those MT numbers look disappointing, but having the vehicle, I can say it feels no slower than my 2015 Sport and is overall a better vehicle. I'm glad I waited for the ST rather than get a leftover 2018 Sport.
  7. If you're asking me, I rarely have to use the high beams living in the city area.
  8. I have to 401A package, but I don't remember this jumping out at me as being worse than my 2015 Sport. Is this a deal breaker for you? Things that jumped out at me immediately upon driving the car for the first time was the ride quality and the handling both feeling better than my 2015. The perforated steering wheel feels better in hand than the 2015 steering wheel. It feels smaller in diameter, but I've to measure it next to the 2015 steering wheel to be sure. The B/O stereo is better sounding than the Sony.

  10. I didn't order mine, and I got mines off the dealer lot. I have not noticed any issues with the transmission. If you're concerned about the transmission or the ST branding you should test drive it before you buy it. It's an SUV and not an ST hot hatch. The below ST hot hatch owner seems to like it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RTXf9eZv_MI&t=578s
  11. Yes, improved ride quality over my 2011, 2013 and 2015 Sport which all were on 21 to 22 inches wheels. In all of the reviews, I don't remember anyone complaining about the ride quality.
  12. I mentioned this in another post, but as soon as I drove it off the lot, I noticed the better ride quality and that is with the tires over-inflated. I know the ST has a 10% higher spring rates and stiffer shocks, but it rides better than my 2015 Sport. Maybe the tires have something to do with as the ST comes with all season Continentals and the Sport had all season Pirellis.
  13. Things I noticed compared to my 2015 Sport. Pairing Garage opener: I took a while for the ST to pair with the Liftmaster garage unit. I would put the unit into a learning mode and go back to the car and follow the pairing sequence, but it would not pair. I tried this about five times before I gave up. Then I had to find the visor remote and followed the pairing sequence, and it paired immediately. Rotary transmission shifter: I thought it would take a while to get used to the rotary shifter, but it was easy to get used to, and I can shift into drive and reverse without thinking about it. Two nice the things the shifter does is you can turn the car off or open the door, and the shifter will automatically go in to park. Ride Quality: The ride quality is much better in the ST compared to my 2015 Sport. My wife even commented on how the ride is smoother in the ST. Dislikes: The piped in exhaust sound does not sound good, but B/O stereo easily drowns it out. The B/O is a big step up from the Sony stereo in my 2015.
  14. My lease was up on 2015, so I had to move on, and I love the ST. I have no regrets about leaving the Sport. The ST is a better overall vehicle. As soon as I drove it off the lot I could feel the better ride quality and throw in all the new tech, SYNC 3 and B/O stereo. I don't miss the Sport.
  15. You don't know that for fact. The ST feels no slower than my 2015 Sport. Do you know anyone at Ford Performance who wouldn't mind jumping into this discussion?
  16. The 2015 Edge Sport was available in both AWD and FWD. I had a 2015 Edge Sport AWD. The question is why the ST is slower or does not handle any better on paper. I feel my ST handles better than my 2015 Sport though. I would love to know what Ford Performance thinks of these reviews. It seems the power and suspensions changes made no difference.
  17. I'm not noticing any transmission issues, but Ford performance dropped the ball, and the ST is not performing on paper as it should given the changes they made to the vehicle. Now having the vehicle I can say it feels better than my 2015 Sport. It's like I'm driving a different vehicle. I'm enjoying the ST, and love driving it. The suspension rides better than my 2015, and they both have 21 wheels. The ST has all season Continental tires, so I don't know if that is giving me the better ride quality, but the ride is not harsh to me.

  20. They should start hitting the dealers next month, and some have already landed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6rYfaPuzRzA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=atzsx2r7SQM
  21. After watching the video again, you're right he was not complaining but noticed it, and I think it was doing what it was meant to do and that keeps the revs up. I also gather from that video that they were beating the crap out of the cars and they had no issues. I feel better now about leasing one and can't wait till they're on the lot.
  22. That video is already posted on page 5 of this thread.
  23. That is one of the better reviews. Something is going on with the transmission, and I hope Ford can fix on the production model. The German and Europeans cars are costly to lease, and I'm not sure if they're worth it.
