Congrats to both of you on your new wheels. Thinking of trading in my '06 Explorer Limited, that has every available option, except rear A/C. It is a V8, and 7 passenger, with nav, DVD, the works. It stickered back then for $42,995 ! Curious what they will give on a trade. KBB apraises it for around 18 or 19 K, and it is in exceptional condition, with 47 K on it. Just getting the bug for new wheels, either an Edge or MKX. If I can't get a decent trade, I'll, keep it through the winter, or until some great incentives come out.

I wanted to do that when my wife had a Ford Five Hundred, the dealer said it couldn't be done because of a difference in the wiring. Maybe it was bullsheeeeet, maybe not. Wound up getting her a new MKS, and that was 2 years ago.

I had a problem with my '06 Explorer Limited with rear turn signal bulbs not always working. Took it to the dealer,they had to replace the rear wiring harness. When they found the problem, they said that the backup lights were also very dim ! Your problem might be related, I don't know. Joe

Looks pretty sharp, but I understand that it is 5 inches wider, and 6 or moreinches longer. I presently have a '06 Explorer Limited, totally optioned out, with 45,000 miles. Will probablt consider a Edge or MKX, do not need to go larger.
