  1. Congrats on the new ride. Winter in NJ is really pretty wicked this year, 30 inches at Chritmas a few storms around 10-15, and yesterday, we got another 21 inches. Where in NE Ohio R U located ? Have 1 friend that lives in Northfield, south of Cleveland, and another buddy that is in Burton. Would love to move out there, but the wife say's "no way, jose". Joe
  2. :happy feet: Congrats on the New Edge, I'm sure that you will love it.
  3. What procedure did you have to go through for the Costco discount? Joe
  4. Wish that they didn't get rid of the hard drive. Have it, and luv it in my wife's 09 MKS. I wonder if they will go back to the hard drive ???
  5. Some friends have told me that Mr. Clean, magic eraser does the trick. Can't say, never had to try it. One trick that I learned from a neighbor, is when doing windows after washing the car, use a detailing mist, Maguires, Mothers, etc. on windows and windshield - it works, and DOES NOT smear with wipers.
  6. Try and figure this one out. The MKS, which the wife drives, has a BAMR, and it made the list , go figure ????
  7. :hyper: Congradulations on your birthday present, and happy and healthy birthday to you. I've got you beat by another 20 years, and still feel like I'm 40. Let us know when your present arrives. Happy holiday to everyone. Joe
  8. As Doris Day would say - "Que Sera, Sera" ! I believe in supporting the USA, and buy American !
  9. True, AWD will bring more value upon resale, will be better in snow than FWD, and AWD will also provide better traction on wet roads ( rain), and also loose pavement ie country gravel roads. AWD will give less mpg, make ther car a bit heavier, it;s a choice you have ti make yourself, I live in central NJ, and would not be without 1 AWD vehicle. To confuse you even more, lets go back 25 years - how many AWD vehicles were there ??? We all survived, and backthen, there weren't even all that many FWD vehicles !
  10. FWD or AWD - a major factor is where you live. Do you live where you might get a lot of snow? If so, I would suggest AWD, nothing beats it.
  11. Hey Dave, Don't know of any Edge owners with really high miles, but I think if you keep service up as in the maintenence portion of your owners manual, you should have no problem. Had a '95 Explorer that I sold to a friend for their daughter, and it had 140 K back then, and she now has over 200K on it now, and still runs strong ! Enjoy your ride ! Joe
  12. You might try and get update info from a local FLM dealership in your area. Enjoy
  13. :happy feet: The best with your new set of wheels. What updates are you planning ? Joe
  14. The best with your new wheels, and GREAT pics 1 joe
  15. Is this happening with all cd's, or just one? Maybe a bad cd ???
  16. :hyper: Congradulations, and the best with " Black Beauty ". What options did you choose?, and if you want to let us know what you paid, vs sticker, it can help others on purchases. I would suggest putting on a coat of wax asap, I use Maguires Gold. Joe
  17. Heck, I would get it back to the dealer immediately, totally unaccceptable situation.
  18. All I could suggest is to try and contact Ford of Europe, maybe your dealer could help you out. Have a great time in Poland, beautiful countrysides, and fun times when in Zakopane !
  19. Richy, The best with you new beauty, sure looks sweet ! I see that you're as bad as me, get a new car, bring it right home, and get a good coat of wax on it. I've been using Maguires Gold Class, have been very happy with the results and durability. Happy Motoring :hyper: Joe
  20. Got my nephew Husky mats for his car, he likes them a lot. Got them from AUTOANYTHING.COM. They have weathertech too.
  21. :shades: How many of you remember party lines with telephones? You would pickup the phone to make a call, and a neighbor mightbe on the line talking tom someone, and you would have to hang up and try later, when she was finished talking. How about TV show's like Sky King, Roy Rogers, Sugarfoot, Leave it to Beaver,The life of Riley, The Donna Reed Show, and so many more. Heck, back in the 50's and 60's, we actually played outside with our friends, no such thing as staying inside to play. Bring back the good old things ! .............................and by the way, I am over 50. Joe
  22. Me thinks that the one on the left is a Ford Kuga, already in Europe.
  23. My wife has this feature in her MKS, and loves it, saved her a number of times from being stuck in traffic, due to some sort of congestion or accident. It warns her with a "honk" like a car horn. The first time this happened, she thought that someone was honking their horn at her.
  24. I wouldn't recommend running the tank down that low. As time goes on, you can pull up crap from the bottom of the tank, and screw your injectors, and more. I try and refill our cars when I'm down to 1/3 tank, unless on a trip. Joe
  25. :happy feet: Best wishes, John, with your new Edge, and VERY happy to hear that everything works. I've been dealing with Maplecrest FLM in Union, a well run place. Did you get yours up by you? Joe P.S. Thomas Lincoln/Mercury down here in Westfield, closed up the other week.
