Darn, get it back to the dealer ASAP. Years ago, when I was a youngun, had a '93 Black SHO, and at about 2 months old, had the hood, drivers door, drivers rear 1/4 panel, and passengers side front and back doors start to get small cracks in the paint - NOT ACCEPTABLE ! Dealer had the car taken to a shop that brought panels back down to bare metal, and treated, primed, repainted, and hand buffed out. Looked GREAT, but the original paint job was not as "deep" in comparison to the repainted panels. So, back to the dealer, they sent it back o the shop, where they stripped the entire car, repainted, and hand rubbed out. Got it back with a paint job better than most high end imports ! :hyper: Just be cautious, get the job done the right way the first time. Joe

Maybe it was a "monday" or "friday" wheel. Glad you caught this.

John, If you are looking to replace the stereo system with one with factory nav, might not be possible, because of wiring, and if it is, the cost factor would probably put the kabosh on it. Portables are inexpensive and the best way to go. Joe

With the paint situation with Japan, it might be a shot in the dark, wish you luck on this.

I've accidentally locked the keys in the car when cleaning it, so the keypad came in handy (did this screw up MANY times, and the wife wasn't home with her set of keys). Also good if you're out at a ball game or the like, and she wants to get something out of the car, she doesn't have to bother me for the keys if she left hers home. :shades:

Make them give you a loaner with this screw up!

As Cal3thousand said, Kudo's for doing your own thing, and you do actually spend more time looking OUT of the vehicle FROM the inside, unless, of course, you sit in a chair looking at you car for a few hours every day. My wife's '09 MKS is cinnamon exterior, with the light beige (pebble) interior, the exception being the top portion of the dash, and top of the door panels is charcoal grey (to reduce glare, I guess). Maybe the should have done it in cinnamon, to match the exterior. I remember when you could buy a car with blue exterior, and get a complimenting blue interior, same for reds, greens, greys etc. What are your choices today - Black, or stone interiors ! Maybe they should go back to the ' GOOD OLD DAYS'. Joe

The Mustang 3.7 engine is fine with me, I'd like to see the lower body cladding painted the same color as the car, like the Edge Sport. I will consider an Edge Sport, but I like some of the creature comforts like heated & cooled front seats, heated rear seats, and power tilt and telescopic steering wheel with memory. My wifes MKS has this, and it makes it really nice getting out of the car the seat goes back, steering wheel goes up and in - really nice.

Had the wife's MKS in for routine service yesterday. Spoke with one of the service techs, he said that the 2012 models shoukld have the bugs worked out, along with some possible changes, but he wasn;t sure on what they would be. Verrrrrrry interesting !

Just wondering, does anyone know what changes will be made for the 2012 model year ? Would like to see a Edge Sport version for the MKX ! Joe

Switches, buttons and knobs? Rumor or fact? I would love to see capability of downloading CD'S to a hard drive too !

When I had paint wear on the edge of the door frame, I just went to Pop Boys auto store, and picked up a small bottle of brush on touch up paint, and it worked out fine.

Yeah, it's just plastic over aluminum, which my '06 Explorer Limited has, but after 5 + years, they still look like brand new ! No peeling, pitting, discoloration, absolutely NOTHING wrong with them.

If a problem with this, shouldn't it be covered under 3/36 bumper to bumper warranty ?
