  1. I have heard from tire people that they hate it when users put that in the tire. I really have no idea how good or bad it may be for the wheel but before I used that on a car with the TPS I would ask if it can damage the sensors. Just my 1 1/2 cents
  2. some of the deals I have seen folks get or research at Tire rack seem pretty good, unless you are in Canada and then I guess unless you have a place to pick them up in US, the shipping is high. I was also at Costco yesterday, usual weekend re-supply, and saw a big Blizzak display, talked to a guy there and he said to wait until next month, apparently they are coming out with a Blizzak coupon. I need to call them back, but he quoted either 485 or 585 for a set of 4 mounted, balanced, etc. edit, ps they were the DM-V1 and I think 245/ 65-17

  4. just from memory, but the floor area in back seat, the map pockets in the front are also illuminated.
  5. I bought some Meguires m40 per Canucks recommendation and am very happy with the results. I was able to get it otc. Sorry Canuck, still building order for detail image.
  6. And no remote control..........um, .........so I have heard :-)
  7. I may be wrong but I think there are two different, yet related functionaries. As I recall there is a feature that shuts off accessory mode after 45 minutes, that happened to me I think 3 times one Sunday washing the car and listening to the football game. I just turned accessory mode back on and I was good to go. Then I think there is a function that just plan shuts down the battery power when the battery level reaches some pre determined low point.
  8. I tried the link and in end it says the size is 174 X 104. the original poster said size is 178X 108. which size fits best
  9. thought I would start a new topic. How many of you plan to keep Sirius after the 6 months free. Personally I love several of the stations. I have tons of music but I think it is the unknown of what will play next that is part of the enjoyment. SO I am on the fence. They do have some relatively inexpensive options. If I drove more it would likely be a no brainer for me.
  10. i see it on the website to fit a 08-10 edge, does the 2010 have the same size nav screen?
  11. We want Picture then on Monday Wilson :cheerleader:
  12. you may want to start watching thread in 2011 edge. Some folks have been talking about same thing and someone was going to post some testing results. There is some conjecture that it may not kick in unless it is below a certain outside temp.

    Key Slot

I believe the manual also refers to putting the key fob in there to program new keys, or perhaps reprogram an existing one

At first I thought I will just ignore this one, but had to be honest. I figured it was to allow you to get into car if fob didn't work. I never thought about the dead battery issue either.
  15. thanks Dreams, I was thinking about letting some air out of a tire to point the sensor tripped, just to see what I would have to put up with. That or wait for one of you guys to switch out a set. :-)

WOW, I thought that was a good question, I did not know it had that, though I hoped it would. I went and looked and could not find it either. In reading the manual, it says the ket that is part of the intelligent access package only unlocks the doors. I hope I am wrong and someone can point it out, but don't think it has that feature.
  17. no, the window does not open separately from the hatch. I think you will enjoy it though, I have had my 11 ltd for about a month and love it
  18. when you say enabled, what do you mean? on the left drivers screen where you can make certain settings, there is a setting for the remote start, drilling down into that there are setting for "enabling" or "on/off" when using the remote start that enable things like the defrost, heated seat, etc. When I found it though mine were all on whatever they call it, either enable or on.
  19. Would a non Nav equipped vehicle have the required GPS needed in order for it to work? Just guessing but I expect the SD card only has the maps and such.
  20. Seems like all the recent post here are correct, in my opinion. People will tend to point out the one or two things that they find bothersome rather than the 100 things they like...............just like I am about to. I have had my 11 Ltd for a little over a month and completely in love with it. As someone mentioned I haven't had this much fun driving since I got my license at 16, and that was quite some time ago. I love the handling, the size, the room you get, comfort and all the convenience and safety features. The tech features were a bit overwhelming at first but I got used to them. The only 2 issues I have had and they are minor is the darn emergency flasher and for some reason, it has happened twice, I get an SD card reading error. It has always worked fine after shutting off the car and when I restart for return trip it works fine. I have an iPhone and have never had a problem in pairing. I used to BT stream the music, but loaded all my music onto a USB thumb drive and use that. I find selecting music from the center console, easier and safer than messing with the phone to find a song. Personally I am not doing much of that , but rather enjoying the Sirius music, while it is still free. Haven't decided if I will continue it when subscription runs out, but am really liking it, and I have not had any issues with any of their features not working as some seem to. So IMHO I am really happy with the choice I made and would recommend the vehicle to a friend.
  21. Congrats Dreams. One question, I looked at the link and see no mention of TPM, do you know if these included the Tire pressure Monitors? Great price on the wheels though
  22. I have not had any extremes to find out yet. Choff may have :-). With the "my temp" feature does it override the fan speed when there is an extreme difference between outside temp and your setting? My fan speed is set at around medium, and when I have driven it, outside temp is not all that different from inside "my temp". what I was hoping is that if I go out and it is say 30 degrees and "my temp" is 70, that fan would kick into high speed to reach the "my temp". I am guessing it does not. :-(
  23. Congratulations on your new car. Try browsing the 2001 edge section, as well as the Sport and also I think there have been posts on Winter tires in the wheels & tires section.
  24. I retired my shorts and flip flops uniform, ( I work from home when not traveling) Saturday. Turned colder Sure takes a lot longer to get dressed in the morning, 2 shirts, socks and shoes I have lived in Colorado for over 30 years, got our worst Winter blizzard Oct 25 1997. Where I lived we officially had 68 inches, but it was the drifting that made it really bad, reports of 18 foot drifts, though the biggest I saw was maybe 12. So it can happen anytime now. :tequila:
