  1. You know it! Now I can use this issue to tell my kids "Its corrupt so I can't play any of those songs!" :stop:
  2. I have the same issue. I had my son's iPod plugged in and when I switched to mine, I noticed that while listening to Pantera, the album art is stuck on Miley Cyrus. I didn't realize she was that heavy
  3. Hi bpattie, What I meant by "enabled" is that nothing came on. i.e. My heated seats were still off even though I have them set in that menu to "Auto". I believe, the settings are "Auto" and "Last Setting" for most of the climate control features. I haven't tried "last setting", but I'd have to remember to crank everything up just before I turn the car off. I usually only have my heated seat on long enough to warm me up. Otherwise you get swamp . so they normally won't be on for the last setting.
  4. Thanks for the input! Mine does the same in the morning, but the issue is after it heats up the car, it doesn't seem to maintain the temp correctly, blowing cool air to keep everything circulating. I haven't tested my outside temp with an external source, I think my post may have been confusing. My 8" is different then my 4" display by 1C, in essence, my Edge doesn't match itself. Its only 1C, so I don't really care as long as it is working correctly and keeps me warm. I'll just wait to see what the general consensus is and if everyone else is fine with it, then it is likely an issue with my system...or with me
  5. Not sure if this is the right place to post this one as it is both it is really Climate control related, but only if you have a remote starter ;-) Has any one tested out and succeeded in having the climate control settings for their auto start work correctly? I've been trying everything with all setting at "Auto". The manual doesn't state what temperature the "Auto" enables certain items such as defrost, seats etc. It states something like...when its really cold...or when its really hot? What does that mean? I got in my car this morning after an remote start. The outside temp was 3C (37.4F) outside, but was colder overnight as there was frost on all of the windows. None of the "Auto" climate settings were enabled. No defrost (front or rear), no heated seats, no fan changes to heat up the interior. Is there a trick to this? Was it not cold enough? Any ideas? Thanks!
  6. Does anyone else find the climate control cold? If the car is far below the set temp, it will heat up quite fast, but once it reaches the set temp, it blows cool air. Cool enough that even with the temp set just above room temperature, my hands and feet have a chill from driving 30 min. This seems to be the case even with Auto completely off, but is much more prevalent when you use the "auto" settings. I'm wondering if the temp reading isn't calibrated correctly. I do notice my right 4" dash outside temp and my 8" touch screen temp are usually off by 1 deg C.
  7. Hi Guys! I'm another Torontonian that just picked up my 2011 Edge Sport a week ago. I spoke with the parts guy at the dealer before buying and he told me you could even to to 17's as the brakes are the same size as the SE, which has 17's on it. I do think the tires will be a slightly different size though as based on the 1010 tires tire guide, the standard 17" wheels from the SE are over 3% off the 22" on the Sport, so the computer is definitely set for the different tire size. I was given a quick price of $1300 for 17" steel wheels and X-ice tires. I think I may just go with the steelies as they did look fairly nice and on my black sport, it would make it look mean ;-) I may get better snows then the x-ice though. From what I can tell, the following sizes are within a 3% tolerance of the 265/40R22's on the 2011 Edge Sport, which is what is recommended when changing tire sizes: 235/70R17 235/75R17 235/65R18 245/60R18 235/55R20 I'm sure there are more, but most of the alternative sizes I was trying, didn't show any tires, the above sizes are all have tires available...didn't check if they were winters or not. Note: Many other people on this forum have complained of the large rims having issues with snow backing in them and balance issues. There is some science around the fact that you should go as small a rim as possible to help prevent issues. a)Smaller rim gives less room for snow to back in. b)if snow packs in, the farther it is away from the center rotation of the tire, the more it will throw off the balance due to centrifugal force. You can look further here: Tire Size Calculator
  8. Anyone know a way to add POI's to the new 2011 NAV? I know you can one at a time, but I want to upload POI groups like all Ford dealerships, Home Depot's etc. This is common practice with most external GPS's like the Garmin or TomTom.
