  1. That's funny man. Imagine how she prioritizes her AC DC music? The letter combos would get amusing.
  2. I own an iPhone4 and have an MKX that is waiting to be shipped that I'm hoping to have next week. I am getting anxious in the true sense of the word about this combo of iphone and Lincoln. I have a Blue Ant two way speaker device that I have been using in my 04 FX. I think I will hold on to it for when (and I say when and not IF based on everything I've been reading) it fails. Pity. As Ford owners, we need to speak loudly with our displeasure and use the tools at our disposal to voice our discontent. Surveys such as JD Power hold an incredible amount of weight and should be used to get Ford's attention if they are not listening to their consumers. I hope mine is fine but if not, I will be using that and every tool at my disposal to get Ford's attention so they hasten a fix for these problems.
  3. What kind of phone is it you're using? I know there have been many issues with iphones on here. I do not have mine yet so I cannot answer your question.
  4. Without a doubt, AMSOIL 0w20. Best oil you can buy, period. http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/asm.aspx That's what I'm going to run. The 0 weight will be a bonus in the very cold temps..read the product description.
  5. It was announced today that Lincoln is providing a no charge maintenance package on all 2011 Lincolns. It did not say whether this is a US only program or whether it also includes Canada? http://www.thecarconnection.com/marty-blog/1051463_free-maintenance-added-to-all-2011-lincoln-models
  6. Thanks for the link. It actually appears that they are available. Here is the link: http://www.lincolnaccessories.com/GfaWeb/catalog.do?prodInfo=MKX~2011~BA1Z_7813300_AC part #BA1Z-7813300-AC
  7. Does anyone know the part # for all weather mats that say MKX on them for a 2011?
  8. Mine was built on Nov 5 and is awaiting shipment. Dealer thinks it should arrive this week or next.
  9. Wilson, you're an American I see. An excellent wash that's available OTC is Duragloss 901. Carquest carries it. one ounce per gallon of water
  10. Thanks. I re-attended the sync site and found it under the updates. Mine is also built and awaiting shipment. I gotta get my ass in gear and get the safety done on my trade so I can go ahead with the paperwork on the trade as soon as it comes in.
  11. I am going to get a cheap small one that I will use exclusively for the updates.
  12. I ordered an MKX in Windsor, Ont on Sep 30 and it was built Nov 5. I am waiting for it to be shipped. The dealer thinks it may be in this week. I am going to have them do the Sync update prior to me taking delivery. Hope you get yours soon bud. What colour did you get?
  13. This is exactly what you need. You can order from them directly and pay only a flat $5 shipping fee. Their sealants are amazing as is their car wash soap. I am a huge DG user. Here's your link for the glass water spot remover: http://www.duragloss.com/product.asp?pid=303
  14. Man, all these problems are taking the Edge off my excitement (intentional pun) for my incoming MKX. It was built on Nov 5 and is awaiting shipment. I pray they have resolved whatever issues it is they're having with their software.
  15. Hunter, thanks for posting this! Do our posts count here or is that a separate entity?
  16. I registered on Synch my ride site and sent them an email about tracking the build date as someone on here had suggested. I got a reply saying they couldn't do it and I didn't see on the site where you could check that. Any ideas, short of bugging the dealer, where I can check the build progress of the vehicle?
  17. John, check out this thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?/topic/5704-2011-edge-all-weather-floor-mats/
  18. That's a funny story. We had a lady come into the Collision Reporting Centre that had struck a deer. Ironically her husband was up in the bush hunting them. He should have just rode shotgun with her, LOL.
  19. For you Americans, a great drying towel that is cheap and available OTC is the Vroom drying towel from Target. (It's yellow and is mounted on orange cardboard in the Auto section). There are 2 sizes, vehicle size and one smaller one which is good for wheels. It is very soft, yet very absorbent. I use a waffle weave first by dragging it full size across the panel which gets most. I follow it up with the Vroom one and the surface is dry and shiny. You can also use a drying aid such as Duragloss Aqua Wax (which is also available OTC at Carquest) or even take your ONR and mix up a bottle of QD strength. This helps eliminate swirls, etc. I highly recommend both these products.
  20. Between the white with the contrasting black trim and black wheel inserts, that look is just killer! Tint those front windows and Bob's your uncle!!
  21. From what I've read in the MKX manual (it should be the same), you are correct in that it will personalize seat and mirror settings but any climate, sound or other settings will default to the last setting.
  22. I don't know how much help this will be, but on my FX, the LASER guided cruise would not engage if the wipers were on. You could override it and select regular cruise but the adaptive would not engage in the rain (assuming you had wipers on).
  23. Glad to hear the TPM worked! I had it go off on me once in my FX35. It seems I ran over what could only be described as a piece of shrapnel from WWII. Evil piece of metal it was!
