  1. That's a good price, it's around what I paid, whatever the dealer was talking about 500 above invoice isn't.
  2. It could be the brake dust eating away at the wheels.
  3. lolololololol. Seriously though, all of these complaints about the engine power are widely unsubstantiated. In most configurations the CX-9 is lighter, people get a clue. And the 3.7 has more power, and it sports a much better, and more reliable transmission. Even with the springs, it doesn't handle as good, a friend from college had her EDGE dropped and it still doesn't handle as good as the CX-9, the structural ridgity (the CX-9 is stiffer) isn't there, along with everything else.
  4. I don't have the sticker in front of me but it was around 35K. Tow package, BAMR, Navi. SEL+ FWD OTD price was like 34ish. No trade in. I'll have the paperwork in a week. I'm not at home.
  5. That price seems really high, we got ours below invoice.
  6. MPG will be very slightly lower. As for the ride it will be firmer, because of the smaller side wall so little road imperfections will be felt more over the 18's, the handling will be sharper. Stick with the 18's if you want the best ride. I like those new painted ones that used to be 17's last year, they look HOT.
  7. I have a pearl and it synced no problem.
  8. No, that's common on newer cars, my solution? Roll up the windows and turn on the A/C, the air is cleaner.
  9. Torsion suspensions are actively used today still, in the Mustang, Focus, Civic, Corolla. The EDGE has a 4 wheel independant suspension so, it doesn't even have a torsion beam.
  10. Yeah, so? It's 2 dollars or 3 dollars extra per fill up tops, not as much as everyone makes it out to be. Definitely wait for the 09 Escape/Mariner/Tribute, they will all have 6 speed automatics.
  11. Yeah, they just made the black dashboard and stuff standard on all trim colors.
  12. Wow it was #1 in 07? I thought it was like number five. Anyway, with sales doubling Ford certainly must feel good about going away from such conservative styling (like the Taurus/X).
  13. Galpin is great! I haven't dealt with them for my EDGE because I have a local dealer much closer, but with the Volvo and Mazda=top notch.
  14. There's probably something wrong with the SYNC system itself, like someone didn't connect a wire or it's just defective.
  15. Yeah, but it flows thinner and offers less protection, hey if BMW uses it, I want it on my Ford. :shades:
  16. No, that would considerably reduce it;s ability to bring in a signal. I'm waiting on a Shark fin, a good looking one though.
  17. 15 in the city/24 on the highway. This is all VIA the trip computer, since I don't care too much about the MPG, but I reset it after every tank. Driving style in the city is very spirited so, that could be the reason why.
  18. As they say, get kelly to write the check, most SE EDGE's are going (dealer retail) for what kelly think's is trade in.
  19. Because I own an EDGE, and I see something that is better for my dollar. ANYWAY, the EDGE is depreciating way more than the CX-9, lets talk about lost money instead of money spent. This is a no options Touring, going for 29,999 with 27,652mi on the odo. Retail=$32,250=2,551 lost, lets not get started on the fact that it could have been bought under invoice Another CX-9, Sport with Bose and Moonroof, $26,995, MSRP $32,145=5150 lost. That's excellent considering a year after so many new features we're added in, ESP a bigger engine. EDGE's EDGE, SEL with No options, $28,485 new Can be had here for $21,991 With 27,401 miles=$6494 lost. EDGE, SEL with AWD , $29,480 new can be had for $18,995 with 18,684mi=9465 lost.
  20. Haha, wow. No I was not "Ticked" ever, you we're clearly going for the EDGE but you wanted to seem like you we're interested in the CX-9, you and your wife weren't really.
  21. If you compare MPG ratings from last years CX-9 with the adjusted ratings, they're better by 1 mpg. They're not directly comparable anyway, too many things are different.
