  1. If you compare MPG ratings from last years CX-9 with the adjusted ratings, they're better by 1 mpg. They're not directly comparable anyway, too many things are different.
  2. Excuse me, but the bigger engine=better mpg. Like I said, BLIS, bigger engine, better transmission, more cargo room, HID's, keyless start, side view mirror makers, rain sensing wipers, other little touches like indirect blue lighting, and another thing, resale value! Of course little thing like rain sensing wipers, BLIS, and side markers may seem like things you don't need, but they're safety features that come in handy. All of those little things add up to more bang for your buck, much more on the little things I didn't touch on like the rear vents can be adjusted in the rear for maximum comfort, Bose Audio, LED tail lights, manual mode etc.
  3. I was talking about for the OP and others that use the thinner 20 weight, something ford only uses for CAFE. I have full synthetic 5W 30 in my EDGE.
  4. Well why use 5W-20, I switched to 5W-30 after I hit 7K.
  5. Yeah but a car shouldn't lose 10,000 dollars after 1 year, that's crazy to even accept such a thing. If I wanted to sell my CX-7 tomorrow it would have only lost me about 3K.
  6. I just saw an Orange SEL+ with Vista roof for 22K, depressing.
  7. If you use regular octane on the CX-7, over 4,000RPM's it will be very slow, and there will be a noticeable loss of power.
  8. I was unaware that the Vue had a CVT. But anyway I would take the Escape in 4cyl trim if you're looking for great MPG, the EDGE if you want a nice ride/looks/engine. Consider the CX-7 in FWD trim, AWD drinks up the gas.
  9. Honestly, I bought the Navi only because I liked seeing the maps, and the fact that the other radio looks cheap. I was well aware of how out of date the maps/phone book stuff we're.
  10. I wasn't talking about the transmission, just the rough riding. Anyway, my dealer did the reflash and they have no other cure for it, because it's still happening.
  11. The ride issue will always be there unless there is something wrong with the shocks and such. Sorry to hear.
  12. Yes, if you use regular, over 4,000 RPM's it will behave like a pig, so if you'd rather have the extra 3 dollars in your pocket, use regular.
  13. The EDGE has an Audiophile system which sounds awful given the name, the Bose in the CX-7 is better. So with the CX-7/EDGE prices I got I choice NAVI, I'm guessing you don't want that though. I don't know how this whole Canadian thing works, but you guys pay through the nose for a car!
  14. It's cheaper for the OP, 25 dollars a month, not much though. When I price them online however, the EDGE comes out on top costing much more. The EDGE is bigger, but the cargo space isn't really all that much bigger(i know, I bought them both to Ikea) 2008 CX-7 GT Your Total MSRP : $41,445.00 PST : $3,315.60 GST : $2,072.25 with all the options A/C Excise Tax $100 Destination and Delivery $1,250 TOTAL MSRP $44,449 Delivery Allowance $0 *Total MSRP less Delivery Allowance $44,449 Lets not even get started on what the CX-7 offers over the EDGE, like HID's, Smartkey, Bose, etc.
  15. Still the fact remains that, you shouldn't be replacing much of anything. How big was the gap in the prices anyway? The CX-7 is cheaper as well so it's money already in your pocket.
  16. The magnum rental fleet is a REAL pos and no one should EVER have to drive one, the only good ones are the R/T/SRT-8.
  17. Not everyone has access to your guy, who would be replacing things like that anyway Lets be reasonable here.
  18. ha ha, very funny. why not just drill a few holes in the brake fluid tank for improved flow, i get your drift!!!!!!
  19. How do you figure that? The costs are about the same for me besides gas, and even then it's only a 3 dollars a fill up, which isn't much. The free oil changes are nice too but really not that expensive. Repairs for the EDGE are actually higher. I'm afraid of the transmission reliability in our EDGE, the hard shifting just started and the dealer can't do a thing about it. I agree with the lanes not feeling wide enough comment, the EDGE feels a lot bigger than it looks, the opposite for the CX-7. TrueCosttoOwn on the EDGE is 5,000K more than on the CX-7
  20. The headliner isn't really that much, they had to drop it down to fix a rattle in the BAMR, no problems since.
  21. Well, the EDGE doesn't offer what you're looking for(for now), try the CX-7, it sounds like it would fulfill your needs as far as sportyness goes and low down torque. The quietness however isn't any better. My EDGE feels strong all throughout the power band, but that could be because of the fact that I like how quickly the tranny downshifts, which in return makes it feel zippier.
  22. oooh a focus, I guess they wanted to humble you with one of those shit boxes.
  23. Umm, don't get the OEM wheels and tires? You could save a bundle. Also, our A4 has one of those tilt features, right in the door pocket next to the gas door release, but we have a base (ugly 16 inch wheels) and I'd love it if someone we're to steal those, so I can replace them with 18's.
