  1. I went from an '06 Corvette Coupe to my '11 Sport AWD. The vette was intoxicating on the freeway, but LIVED in the dealer service department. I believe I love my Edge far more than the Vette.

  3. Yep, that's true, but I think it sucks. They should at the very least make it an option to turn on or off.
  4. Sorry there is no way in hell I would buy from that particular dealer after that. If they act like that on the sale then I'd be afraid to find out what the service department experience would be... and you will surely be dealing with them for MFT updates.
  5. This is EXACTLY my story as well... except I purchased mine in November 2010 with 1.8, but EVERYTHING else is identical to my experience. Still, having said all of that, I LOVE my Sport, and I am glad I made the purchase. I will be happy once those bugs are fixed, but those bugs do not overshadow the rest of the enjoyment the vehicle provides. It did take a bit of the fun out of the new car experience, but when you purchase bleeding edge technology... well that's what one must put up with.
  6. I just noticed that after they installed 2.11 (several weeks ago now) that I no longer have access to Sync Services. The button is completely gone, and when I hit the voice button and say services it doesn't recognize that command anymore. :/
  7. That's exactly what I thought. They tried to tell me today that it takes a week sometimes for the syncmyride website to update, but when I got 2.4 installed I could see the update as they tried... instantly. I think they're blowing smoke up my arse. He did end the conversation with "I will be sure they confirm they installed 2.11". Fingers crossed.
  8. Anyone know of a way to find out what version is installed from within the vehicle? My dealer says they upgraded me to 2.11 but syncmyride still says 2.4 and I want to check before I drive away with it.
  9. Anyone have a dealership in the Silver Spring, MD area that they've had good luck with their service department? My service tech just told me on the phone that they updated the 10B20 recall without any problems and are done (should be to v. 2.11) but when I went onto syncmyride.com it still says 2.4 installed on 4/6/11. This is at Koons in Silver Spring.
  10. I had my '11 Edge in today to have the 10B20 upgrade. They just told me on the phone that all was completed now without a hitch, but when i went onto syncmyride.com to look at my update history, there has been no changes since they installed 2.4 in April. Are they blowing smoke?
  11. I have an '11 Sport AWD. I do mostly in town driving, but have had it on the highway for a few small couple-hour road trips. I always reset the A mileage thing when I refill/top off my tank, and the B mileage I reset when I purchased the car and have not reset it since. I have 4106 miles on the vehicle since November 15 when I bought it. In that time, the avg MPG listed on my B setting is 13.3 mpg. I have currently have 12 on my A odometer with 189 miles since fill up. I definitely don't baby the thing anymore, but I don't drive it really hard most of the time either. 13.3 is not that good, but heck if I was worried about gas mileage, or had to commute to work, I wouldn't have bought an AWD crossover. I still love my Edge.
  12. I am happy to report that it has been about 2 months now since my APIM replacement and so far everything has worked as it should. I am still extremely happy with my purchase. :shades:
  13. I'm getting 13.3 from mostly city driving, but I had 26 when I drove 3 hours south a few weeks ago. I'm completely fine with it. If I was worried about MPG then I would've bought a Prius. I love my '11 Sport and so far wouldn't trade it for anything.
  14. Thank you! I see they don't have covers for the 2011 model yet... do you know if they are the same as the 2010?
  15. Hi guys! I wanted to put seat covers on as well, but then I noticed that they would be covering the airbag module that is mounted in the side of the seat! Do these account for that?
  16. LOL sure does! I love it though because it gets hot so fast on a cold day!
  17. Congratulations, and welcome to the forum!! I have a Tuxedo Sport AWD and LOVE IT!
  18. Purple is my favorite color in general, but I often switch it to Aqua because I like for all the lights to match. I too was bummed when I found out the dash lights didn't change to match. That would have been GREATLY appreciated.
  19. on my phone (Blackberry Bold 9700) you literally must YELL your responses to the Sync Services lady. She needs a hearing aid!
  20. In regards to the remote start, at least in my neighborhood, you want to make sure your doors are LOCKED before the car starts up with nobody around.... may not be there when you get out to it. In regards to the navigation system, you can cycle through a few views by pressing the red directional. Also, while you have a destination programmed/active, you can depress the small "VIEW" icon at the top right and that will cycle through a few more layout changes as well. I use the one with the upcoming turns listed on the right side. I happen to think that the nav is beautiful. At least in comparison to the Garmin and TomTom units that I have used in my other cars. Particularly if you are somewhere that can use the 3D buildings features (like in Washington, DC). While I'm talking about DC, which I have found in the past to be akin to the Bermuda Triangle as far as not getting lost, even with a GPS. I had a trip into NW DC last week from Silver Spring, MD. There was a major accident on route 50 and I (with fingers crossed) changed the nav to reroute automatically around traffic. For the very first time in my life I did not get lost going through DC. Even the round abouts were clearly marked on the map and the nav lady was very accurate in her directions... "enter the traffic circle. take the 23rd exit and clinch your butt cheeks because nobody else can drive around here either." Ok, well not quite, but she was very precise and didn't get me lost. ::cheers:: to the nav lady.
  21. I'm upgraded to 2.4 and have had no issues whatsoever once the upgrade was complete. I always loved it, but now I have the vehicle I thought I was getting in the first place, and love it all that much more. I'm extremely happy with my purchase (2011 Sport fully loaded). In fact, I find myself proclaiming loudly at least once a week how much I f***ing love my Sport! ::gently caresses dash ::
