  1. I find when putting my vehicle in reverse I get a jump or clunk in the transmission. I will let Ford know when I bring it in for service this month
  2. To me its worth the extra 14-15.00 to have the oil change done. I think 60 was a fair price if they were giving you the 5/20 Mobil 1
  3. If it really bothers you I would suggest dropping by a auto body shop. They will be able to tell you right away if the doors can be readjusted to sit flush. If they can which I think they will be then go back to the Ford dealer and tell them you want it corrected. Good luck to you
  4. Does the center brake light work? If not then you no doubt have a short or blown fuse somewhere
  5. Had my Edge serviced on Tuesday. They replaced the rod mech. that goes to the door lock assembly stating that was the cause. I'll let you know next winter.
  6. Point well taken bbf. you would have had me sold :hyper:
  7. sounds like if the only thing holding you up is the cost difference of 500.00 for something you love then bite the bullet and pay the extra 500. over the life f the vehicle it would only be pennies a day. plus the white is really nice
  8. I think most drivers don't let the fuel get that low. I myself would never let it get below a quarter tank. All these large trucks you see on the road hold on the average of 200 gallons at a time and fuel up every other day if not sooner without nothing more than a fuel gauge (not even an idiot light). I just don't think it is that important of an issue. Actually I would have liked to see a chime to tell you if the turn signal hasn't been turned off. My 96 Windstar had it and if you traveled 2 miles or so with them on it would remind you. I guess we can't have everything
  9. Went in for an oil and filter change and had them also check out issue with drivers door lock not working in freezing temps. Dealer ordered a "rod" for the lock that should solve the problem. I also had them turn on my DSL's (Daytime Running Lights) and wound up costing me a half hour of labor (45.00). Was hoping for a freebie but in these times I guess they have to make money anyway they can. It only has 12000 miles on it and I have had it almost for 2 years now Overall pretty happy.
  10. I am pretty sure the TPMS was standard equipment in 2007 which I have. A SEL+ AWD like yours. The dealer can program in the DRL's which would cost you about half an hour of labor Best of luck with it
  11. you can always put an easy fill cap on, They are available. I was thinking about it myself
  12. The sound the door lock is making is exactly like mine. Taking it in next week and will let you know how I make out. (it will be warm but I have confidence in my dealer)
  13. I'm thinking that water is building up in the door itself. On warmer days I can smell the stale water / mildew. I'll find out next month when my vehicle goes in for service
  14. Yes the original key fob will work. I have a 2007 SEL Plus and had my Ford dealer install the remote starter using my key fob. The range will be limited to how far you can lock and unlock your car doors or activate the horn with your present key fob. I wound up replacing mine for another set of key fobs just for the remote start (yes it is a pain to carry both)
  15. I installed them on an '07. You can shop around for the mirrors, Ford or a body shop where I got mine. Find an 09 with the mirrors that match your mirrors (heated, non heated, puddle lamps,..) get the vin # for the 09 and use that info to order your parts (mirrors)
  16. Just checked and couldn't find one now. (Maybe sold?) BUT a week or 2 ago I found 2 with a sticker of about 41,000. which I thought rather high. I'll keep checking
  17. I know of 2 dealers on Long Island that have them on the lot
  18. Did the dealer charge you for this? and if so how much??
  19. Couldn't find it. What day was it posted?
  20. Wasn't sure Lex Nice mod however if you have the abilities. I wonder why Ford left it out, I'm guessing to give MKX the "Edge"
  21. Just in case someone would like to attempt this. I found this in another forum. I don't have the roof and if I did this would be a little bit out of my comfort range. http://www.edge-central.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=19
  22. It must be nice!! Good luck with it
  23. Kanatronic I tried the new "proper" mirror adjustments some time ago. As with everything there is some give and take. On highway driving they do indeed eliminate the blind spots but you lose checking your lane markings and when backing they are not practical. As I mentioned earlier I do have a neck injury so I do need my side mirrors for backing. I find using the additional convex mirrors gives me the tools I need. So in most respects you are correct but for me, I prefer convex mirrors. I have a lease and I'm hoping by 2010 they will have a backup camera as an option for the Edge Happy Holidays
