  1. Bulb. The blinker element is most likely burnt out. Even thou you do lose me when you say you have brake lights on both sides but then you also say the left back light doesn't if you apply the brakes. So which is it. Or are you saying you have tail lights on both sides? If that is the point then yes the brake light element is burnt out.
  2. I can think of one this your Pioneer won't do that the Sync will. Send you to a web page telling you all about your local dealers special deals. Or as Ford calls it Vehicle Health Reports.
  3. Final update still no problems to this date. I will say it's fixed for good.
  4. Read all my post on this thread you might have the same thing I did. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=3590
  5. I haven't had the problem on my '08 and from what the service tech at the dealership was telling me the main reason for the leak was the vendor of the seal had bad quality and that Ford had since changed vendors and since the change it was no problems.
  6. Wow they popped up the price by $50. Not worth it my opinion.
  7. Final analysis. Coil pack on 6th cylinder and plug both bad. Code P0306 Drove 600 mile trip over weekend and not one problem showed up. I think it is fixed this time.
  8. Anybody on here having problems with getting Sync to send the VH reports? I was able to get it to work a few days after I got the update but I tried it last night and it kept failing, go figure I had a real problem with my Edge and the VHR don't work. Some over on the SyncMyRide site have commented about this problem but there is very little known at this point.
  9. Update time. Well last night the problem really showed its ugly head and tripped the engine light so I was hoping it had a code. Take it in today no code and they can't reproduce, so I go over and tell the tech lets go I can reproduce it 100% of the time. Go on the drive first few attempts nothing then he asks me to try something and when I did it it showed up. Looks like the problem is an engine miss and hopefully it's just a coil pack going bad and a quick fix. Should know more later today or tomorrow. If I get a chance I will update with new info tonight or tomorrow morning if not I'll let you all know early next week when I get home.
  10. Anybody find an aftermarket filter yet?
  11. Well looks like #1 on the list wasn't fixed, it just changed speeds. Last time it would happen around 45mph now it happens around 60-65. Back to the dealer it goes.
  12. The oil change was $60+tax. Around here tax is 10.25% And how much does this Ford maintenance plan cost? I have never had an oil change done at the dealer before. This was strictly done for convenience since I was on vacation and it is hard to find time to get stuff like this done, I normally have to do it on a weekend if I can find the time and good enough weather. A normal change if I do it myself cost me about $50. Case 5/20 Mobil 1 is $37 and M1 filter is $10.
  13. They wanted to charge $160 for the upgrade at first. I told the guy that it was being done for free or $50 at other dealerships. He called me back the next day and said they would do it for $69 I gave him the OK since I didn't need the hassle of trying to find the time to get it done. When I go the bill it was only $59.95.
  14. Let the dealer have the Edge while on vacation last week and left them a nice laundry list of things to look at. 1. Tranny seems to search for gear. Fixed- a valve was sticky in the valve body sometimes it would not shift out of 3rd. Shifts fine now. 2. Chrome on wheels- Fixed- 4 new wheels. 3. Backup sensor error- Fixed- pinched wire in the bumper. 4. Seat memory- Was intermittent not sure if it's fixed or not but it seems to be working fine at this moment. 5. Sync to 2.0- Sent my first health report yesterday ironically everything is fine. 6. Oil change- done The oil and upgrade cost me $130 I use full synth oil and the charge for the upgrade was $59.95.
  15. Been doing it on mine for a long time, and as long as the door works properly I'm not going to worry about it.
  16. I had two do this on my license plate but nowhere else.
  17. Had the same problem. Here is your fix. This is a copy from the PM about it in here from back in Feb. now for the capacitor fix. The instructions from Chad's vendor says to use a 470uf 35v Electrolytic capacitor in parallel with the relay. I used a 1500uf 35v and it works just fine for this application. The main part is to at least use a 25v cap and above 470uf, so if you used a 680, 1000 or a 1500 you should be fine. The reason is the Edge lights are a pulsed 12v and by not using a cap the relay will sound like an electric razor because it switches so fast, but by using the cap you are basically adding a small battery on the line to keep the voltage at 12v long enough for the next pulse from the junction box to keep the relay switched on. The 1500uf holds a charge just a fraction of a second longer than the 470uf is the only difference.
  18. Just my opinion but why not just mask over the light sensor? Yes your lights will be on at full brightness but you don't have to buy any extra hardware.
  19. I did on a trip from Chicago to Vegas this summer and it averaged about 1.5MPG off of a true calculation. The DIC would say 23.5 and actual would be 22.
  20. Tell your wife not to eat the steering wheel and seats and you'll be fine
  21. On which issue? the bad chrome or the clicking noise?
  22. The bubbling on the lift gate looks like it was on the silicone seal. Not much can be done about that. The rust well that is a problem, I have never seen anybody wax in that area before though but you most definitely can wax a new vehicle.
