Replacement sport pedals
PJFW8 replied to Lex Talionis's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Can do! Saturday if not earlier. The pedals a very well made. I added about 7/8th" spacer for my wife. The quality of materials and the seller's advice were important. They were installed 18 months ago and are holding up very well. -

My wife did not want it! I am not sure that it fits, but an initial check looked good. -

Got nice pedals at www.ultimatepedals.com for my wifes Edge. Mazda pedals fit exactly, (no surprise there!) Sorry I can't get a picture but they are heavy guage and not "clip ons"! Part name: Mazda MZ6 Gas Pedal (595) and Mazda MZ6 Brake Pedal (592). -
Glad you like it. Mine is 4 months old. Some minor wear on the icons, otherwise works great.. Re: the light, my circuit board does not have one!? Not a big deal, but perhaps the board was upgraded. I would also buy again. It is a great value.

I have a paint chip that this would cover. The answer please....

'09 Mirrors on an '08
PJFW8 replied to PrinzII's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Many of us have done it. It is easy, but be sure to study the posts. Removal must be done following a specific method. Installation requires cafefull and firm seating of the mirror. The pictures and descriptions will become obvious when you examine the new mirror prior to installation. You can do it! 10 minutes tops! -
Lex...Edited to avoid confusion.
-
Thanks! Makes sense. I'll try it when I get home!
-
Mine does not light (I have 2...no light). Not a big deal, but I may ask the seller. I am also looking forward to your usual complete evaluation!
-
It is thinner and longer, but my dealer had no problem. Some have had to remove the key blank. You will find that welly is very helpfull.

Mine doesn't light up.... But after 4 months it still works well! Well worth the price!

HID XENON Headlight for Edge!
PJFW8 replied to fly6's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
BOW = bulb out warning. Some cars detect the different current draw as a bad bulb and light up a warning. -

'09 Mirrors on an '08
PJFW8 replied to PrinzII's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Very easy...but read the posts carefully and especially be careful to seat the new mirrors correctly. A great improvement. -
3 months old and the paint is ok. Wouldn't be surprised if it wore off in a year or so. As far as build quality, I'd give it a B. Factoring in the $49 price it is a great value. Even a better value after the straight key put a hole in my favorite Levi 505's! It is smaller and lighter than Porsche key. Less clunky than the VW/Audi flip key. I would buy it again. The seller is also very responsive! As to the other question, the holes are for a small key ring. It is accessed by removing the battery door. Easy to do!
-
Thought I did. It was a while back. Sorry about the thread hijack!
-
No, it does not. It helps to distinguish the buttons. I really like the key. Great value. (And Lex...Re: AC vents, the trim on the '09 outer vents matches the vent. They also have a positive shut-off for the center vents. My wife hated that she could not shut the vents on the '08. I bought the '09 part and swapped them. Easy job and cheaper than a new car. ~$120.)

I have that key for my 2010 Fusion Hybrid. Works nice. Seller is very responsive. My dealer cut and programmed for free. Said it was easy. Check the fusion site for added info!

I forget the brand, but it was a well known brand. The wipers are in front of the intake. In the morning the garage and car would smell. It would lessen on the way to work. The car is outside at work. After a day in the sun, the odor became nauseating as the car was driven. It was necessary to lower the windows. There was comsiderable flooding here early last summer. That or the chronic roof leak at the store may have been the cause. Store was a Fleet/Farm. I bought a set of blades for my son's car on the same day. They smelled too, but not as badly. He always parks outside. They went into the trash! I agree, strange and surprising.
-
It was the wipers! I understand your doubt! I would never have believed it unless I had smelled it.The dealer cleaned the car. I disassembled my hvac and bleached it.Nothing worked. I had the wipers off to bleach them and the odor was gone! You could smell them even though double wrapped in a trash bag. And with the car outside the garage did not stink. overnight with the car inside resulted in a strong mold bloom. The store had a leaky roof! Easy enough to test. Take the wipers off!

Re moldings...Great poduct available from sportwings. Check this forum for info. Easy to install and a perfect paint match. I have them on my Edge and Fusion hybrid. Well under $150!
