Is that something the dealership could program? I would bet even if they did do it they would charge quite a bit? Is there anything I could use to program it myself? Thanks

Waldo, Thanks for the reply. That wouldn't be an option because I just got the car. I found an OEM touchscreen (new) on ebay for around $300 and the control panel for about $70 used. I may just order the parts and take a stab at it and report my progress here. Part# for the screen is DE9T-18B955-FB. Radio control panel part# is DT4T-18A802-BE

Just a quick question. I just recently traded my 2013 Edge SE for a 2014 Edge SEL that has backup camera and dual climate AC with the 4.2" screen with SYNC. Can anyone confirm if I could install the 8" touchscreen with the non-Sony control panel? By the way, I love the car the way it currently is, but just curious if it could be changed in the future. From what I can tell, the connections look the same for plug and play. Any help or advice is appreciated. Thanks

slEdgehammer, Let us know how it goes. And try to post some pics if possible. Not too long along in my local mall they had an 14 Edge SEL on display with backup camera and 4" screen. So you might get lucky and already have the factory wiring.

Mike, I took apart the cover on the rear lift gate of my SE and couldn't find any wiring for the camera.

Well, I finally had some free time and took apart the cover on the rear lift gate. From what I could see, there was no wiring for a factory backup camera on my 2013 SE. It was a major disappointment but I kinda had a feeling that Ford would have excluded the wiring anyways on the base model. Guess I'll have to go the route of a wireless camera that you can use with your rear view mirror. For anyone that has an SEL and doesn't have the camera, you might get lucky and actually have the wiring installed, you will just have to remove the plastic cover inside the hatch and see.

Yes, it appears you have the fender extensions. See attachment below where I circled. I also included a stock image with a front view. A site I suggest to order the part is tascaparts.com. I have ordered from them and they offer genuine OEM Ford parts. And it's cheaper than Ford's site. Hope that helps and let me know if I can do anything else.

Here is the underside of my mirrors. Sorry for the nasty mirror, I live in OK so its hard to keep her clean. Anyways, it doesn't look like anything can be removed. Maybe Ford changed this on the 2013 model?

Hi bankerjohn, You would need to purchase part BT4Z17626C since you have an SEL, assuming you have the 18' wheels unless you opted for larger wheels which would still use that same part. Most SEL's that I have seen use that part # with the front fender extenstions. The only difference that I noticed between parts is part ending in C has the option to install front fender extenstions. That part # is BT4Z16185B. That is the difference in price. Hope that helps.

So over this past summer I removed my door handles on my SE because they were black and I wanted to paint them to match. Well I finally did that but had a problem removing the two sections of the actual handle. There is a torx screw on the end once you have them removed from the door. I removed that screw but was unsuccessful in actually getting them apart. I know they come apart somehow because it shows them in two parts on the parts diagram. The reason I'm asking is because when I painted my handles I painted the entire handle not realizing that only the front part is painted. I noticed on some SEL models at the dealership that the front handle is painted but the backside is black. My question is how can they be removed without damaging them? Sorry for the long post and thanks.

ls973800 I didn't notice any plastic clip underneath the mirror to remove but I did notice a faint round mold where it looks like I could use a dremel to cut it out. I'm a little nervous to do this. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks

chipworkz, See my post from Jun 1 on this topic. I attached a picture of an SEL that has the reverse camera with the 4.3'' screen setup without MFT. I know some of the SEL's that aren't upgraded to MFT have a 4.3'' screen just like my SE. I've also seen some of the new XLT F-150s with a 4.3'' screen with reverse camera. I'll try to remove the plastic cover under my hatch on the rear where the camera is installed and see if there is any harness to plug into. Probably not, but worth a shot.

Hopefully someone knows ylwpaul. I'm still waiting for an answer also.

Since I have the 101A package that includes sync and Sirius wouldn't it work? The wheel I looked at on eBay appears to be the same as mine. It has the same button setup.
