I took the center console apart today. Opened the right ie passenger panel and top and rear. Couldn’t see any APIM there. I could not open the driver side center/floor console panel cos i would have needed to take out the chair for better access. Please could you find any diagrams or manual information describing the location of the APIM in the base model? Please someone help me locate this APIM. Thanks

You can purchase short term access to the service manual via motorcraftservice.com and if you can't figure that out pay someone to look it up for you and send the info.

    Yes, it has bluetooth.

Then you have SYNC which is good start.  I can't find any kits for going from the 4" to 8" for the 11-14 Edge.  I am thinking the APIM is buried in the center console then and any retrofit cable would have to be very long which is why no one may offer a kit.  I can't find any info on where the APIM is located so you may have to check with a Ford dealer or get yourself a Ford service manual to find out.

They are 21-inch summer/performance. I guess I'm going to have to look for some winter tires. Any suggestions?

Tirerack.com sells complete winter wheel packages.  Great for someone who can swap their own wheels if that is the case with yourself.

As stated summer tires in winter climate...bad idea.  Can get yourself or someone else injured or killed.  I waited until the first snow fall to swap the wheels on my ride this year.  I have all season tires for non winter months.  I drove those in the fresh snow in December, than swapped to the winter wheels and took a drive in the same snow.  Night and day difference even just going from all-season to winter wheels.

It's a nuisance having the USBs shut down just a few minutes after turning the ignition off.

Does anyone know if this can be changed using Forscan?

USB ports are powered by the SYNC system/APIM.  When it shuts down, they shut down.  No changing it.

Hi. I just bought a 2013 Edge w/72,000 miles on it. The dealership said that they replaced both the front and back brakes. I have had to refill the brake fluid reservoir 3 times in two weeks. The dealership says that it’s a bad ABS module but I can’t find anything that says leaking brake fluid is a sign of a bad module. The ABS warning light has never come on either.

    Thank you for your help!!

Did they inspect it and then tell you that or just tell you that when you brought it up to them?  If they didn't inspect it, they are just talking out of their ass.  You keep having to add brake fluid....there is a leak somewhere.  An inspection needs to be done.  Now if they inspected it and determined the ABS module is where the leak is, either things need to be tightened up or the bad part needs to be replaced.  Brakes are not something to mess around with.

I took my 2020 Edge Titanium Elite in for the camera recalls and mentioned that I was unable to select adaptive headlamps in the menu (It is greyed out).  (Mine also do a little dance when you turn them on)  The service advisor brought out a document that I think was a TSB that said even though it was greyed out the adaptive headlamps were operating properly.  I should have asked for a copy of it but I was distracted.  I don't know if they actually work or not.

SSM 48993 - 2020 Edge - Adaptive Headlamps - Selection Greyed Out In Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC)
Some 2020 Edge vehicles equipped with adaptive headlamps may exhibit an IPC selection of adaptive headlamp that appears greyed out or is not able to be selected. This selection does not affect the operation of the adaptive headlamps. This is characteristic of the vehicle and no repairs should be attempted.
