  1. Unless you have the B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen it does not have HD radio.  Don't believe this is available in the 2020 ST-Line.  The B&O Sound System by Bang & Olufsen uses a completely different ACM which has only the audio output for the amplifier which.  The ACM is physically missing the hardware for driving speakers without the an amplifier.  What this means is an HD receiver won't even function properly in your vehicle.

  2. SSM 49179 - 2015-2020 Edge, 2016-2018 MKX, 2019-2020 Nautilus - Parking Lamps Stay On And/Or Trailer Lights Flicker With Vehicle Turned Off
Some 2015-2020 Edge, 2016-2018 MKX, and 2019-2020 Nautilus vehicles may exhibitthe parking lamps stay on and/or the trailer lights flicker with vehicle turnedoff when a trailer is connected to the vehicle. This may be due to the softwarein the trailer module (TRM). To correct the condition, reprogram the TRM with the latest software of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Use causal part19H332 and applicable labor times from Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Have any of you done a PTU service on a 2019 or 2020 ST yet? I was under there yesterday and I _think_ I found the fill plug, but I am honestly not sure. On my wife's 2015 the drain and fill plugs were easy. I'm just trying to figure out how to suck out the old fluid. I do have a couple of syringe looking things and some tubing, I'm assuming that's all I will need.

If any of you can take a pic or pics of the friggin' fill plug that would be most appreciated.

I'll do you one better.  check the pdf,

So, we filled the car up with premium and the dash said it has 273 miles until empty. Then we filled it with regular and it showed 319 miles until empty.

why would it be less with premium?

Fill up with premium, shows 273...meaning it is basing DTE off the previous tank driving habits

Then fill up with regular after the premium tank and now showing 319 DTE which is based off your premium tank.

Granted it may or may not be attributed to octane as many other factors come into play (driving habits, weather including wind, temp, etc)

So it seems right to me.

  5. I replaced my rear rotors and pads at about 15000 I think.  Ford is known for crappy rotors.  Not sure why they would have replaced your calipers though.

I wouldn't leave a vehicle for a long time with the parking brake applied.  The pads probably were stuck to the rotor.  An inspection may be in order.

They have the front brake hoses now.  Owner letters are going out in May.

Thanks for the the update.  I downloaded the zip file but all the files contained refer to file names containing "546"...which is what i have on now.   The autoinstall file is identical to the latest upgrade file that was installed.  I don't see anything in the zip that points on the DG37-14D544-AC that would all those files to run.  I'm no expert, but I would have expected to have seen "544-??.cab" files that would have installed the older version.

I tried to run the Install anyway but it failed.  Which I think is because it's trying to reinstall the same files versions it already has.

Sorry I may have gotten some part #s mixed up while searching for downloads.  I thought that was 4.1.3 but looks like I mixed up some of the file name.  Just do searches for the files in that list.  See what you can come up with.

It was available as an upgrade option in 2018 but if it wasn't ordered with it there is no way to add it later. You would need to see Ford Pass Connect modem on the build sheet  otherwise you only get basic functionality.

False, it was not available at all on the Edge in 2018.  Confirmed via dealer order guide.

Also false that it can't be added.  I added it to my 16 Edge a couple years ago if not more.  It's not officially supported by Ford for upgrading but it can be done.

  8. This appears to be an older version.  Use at your own risk

No idea if it will install.

Here is something I found...and the 13 Edge's I looked up that seem to have original software are 4.1.2

  9. Liftgate Latch Release (manual liftgate)

The liftgate latch can be released using:

    • the exterior liftgate release switch.
    • a valid programmed passive key.

The BCM sends a voltage signal to the exterior liftgate release switch. When the liftgate release switch is pressed, the voltage signal is routed to ground, indicating a request to release the liftgate latch. The BCM momentarily provides voltage to the liftgate latch to actuate the release motor.

When using the liftgate release switch, the BCM releases the liftgate only when the doors have been electronically unlocked and the vehicle is in PARK.

When using a programmed RKE transmitter, press the liftgate release button twice within 3 seconds to release the liftgate latch. The liftgate latch releases if the vehicle speed is 5 km/h (3.1 mph) or less.

The liftgate latch can also be released using the passive entry feature. Refer to Liftgate Passive Entry in this section.

  10. The original APIMs for MFT are known to have high failure rates.  Thats why Ford did an extended warranty on them (which is expired now btw) but Ford made improvements to the APIMs and they do hold up much better now.  Problem with these other sellers is they will use whatever APIMs they can find cheap and use non ford methods of programming them.  I only provide the correct latest gen APIM for SYNC2 replacements and program them using the official Ford method which means the latest software and firmware are in them and they are linked/programmed to your vehicle in the official Ford SYNC service registry.  I charge $315 plus shipping.  I don't have any in stock right now but can track one down if you want.

  11. Personally I'd just go with what the vehicle came with.  The BMS (battery management/maintenance system) is setup for what it came with.  I recently had to replace the battery in my 16 Sport and while it was tempting to get a higher CCA amp I just bought one that matched the OEM specs.  The original lasted 4.5 years.  I figured that was pretty good considering I hear stories of newer vehicles eating batteries every 3 years or sooner,

  12. I am going to have to disagree with others and Ford and say it should be covered.  Its an electrical fault within the mirror glass, not a defect within the construction of the mirror glass functionality (like the mirror isn't reflecting anymore) or customer damage.  If the defroster on the rear window goes bad and isn't repairable, because it's on glass it wouldn't be covered?  I call BS.  It's an electrical issue and should be covered.
