Welcome to the forum. I have a '13 SEL in Tux Black and absolutely love the vehicle. Next time though I'm going for the "Limited" for the extra bells and whistles that I'm missing now; most notably the Sony sound system. Good choice going with the Husky mud guards. Super easy install and they look great. Best of luck with the new ride!

I think as long as you have the MFT, you should be able to do this. Wise move coming to Ford from GM. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

Thanks for the documentation. Don't know if it applies to a '13 or not, but it looks complicated and covers a lot more than doors. Was thinking something a little more focused to removing the door panels; maybe something step-by-step and with a lot of pictures (emphasis on the "idiot-proof"). Thanks.

Need some how-to guidance on changing out the 4 door speakers in my '13 SEL.

I initially posted this under Audio, Navigation & SYNC, but perhaps I should have posted it here under Accessories & Mods? Aftermarket Speakers; 5x7 or 6x8 ?

Anyone know what size speakers fit in the doors of a '13 Edge SEL (standard sound system)? Amazon is indicating that 5x7 and 6x8 are both compatible; specifically I'm looking at the Kenwood KFCC5794PS and KFC-C6894PS Performance Series 3-Way Car Speakers. P.S Anyone have these and if so, how do they sound compared to the factory speakers?

Welcome to the forum. I have a '13 Edge also; you're going to love it. Hey, I heard the Edges in Texas are the same size as the Explorers becauase (say it with me now...) Everything is Bigger in Texas!!

Okay, as long as you're happy with the change; but I have to ask, for such a barely detectable difference, why bother? Isn't that piece there for a reason anyway?

Here you go... I just installed them today. Literally took me 15 minutes to install both. Custom fit and they look great!

Probably wouldn't work on the Edge with that rear spoiler, unless that was attached to the glass also. The flip-up glass used to be available on the 2012 and earlier Escapes but no longer available on '13 and newer. It might have been a "nice-to-have" but certainly not a must-have. Otherwise we'd still be seeing the option.

The Husky flaps (item 58411) fits '07 - '13 Edge; all but the sport trim. It took me all of 15 minutes to install both. Uses the existing trim screws They match the trim perfectly, a custom fit. They look great! At $39 they're about $10 more than OEM, but in the end worth every penny.

Thanks, I appreciate the heads-up and link to c_bova's post, but I already ordered the Husky flaps and have the Ford flaps up on eBay. That was a very smart mod that c_bova did, but shouldn't have been necessary for the genuine Ford part that is supposed to fit their own vehicle. This is a sub-par part with horrible instructions. Thanks again.
