  1. I also have a white Fusion. They're both a PITA to keep clean. Next time maybe a metallic gray ot silver. Keep me posted on your sound system project. I'm hoping I can stop with just replacing the speakers only.
  2. Hey, Dood. Nice white knght! I'm on the opposite end of the spectrum with my Tuxedo Black '13 SEL. Mine has FWD, not AWD, but looks like we both have those chrome-clad wheels. Didn't even realize they were plastic covers until I signed the papers! Do you have the BAMR? I do. Love it. No regrets. I love the look and the ride. Did a couple of cosmetic mods so far, but like you am seruously considering upgrading the sound system. Keep me posted on how that project goes for you. Best of luck with the new ride!
  3. Nice bird, Redbow. Takes me back. Picked up a '13 Tuxedo Black SEL myself back in October. Got a great deal on a dealer's lease turn-in. Only 11k miles. Absolutely mint in/out. Better than new. Best of luck with yours!
  4. Installed chrome-clad door handles to go with my freshly waxed chrome-clad wheels. Makes the wheels pop. Great contrast to the black body. Good quality handles from Razer Auto; $35 on Amazon. A small change that made a big difference in appearance. I like it! Here's before and after pics. You be the judge.
  5. Well. Here it is with the chrome-clad door handles installed. I think it looks good. Makes the chrome-clad wheels pop. Picks up the chrome trim around the headlights too. Here's pics before and after. I like!
  6. Thinking about installing chrome-clad covers over my Tux Black metallic color-coded door handles. Figured they'd look good with my chrome-clad wheels. Anyone done it already? Regrets?
  7. Found these on Amazon. Does this help? Razer Auto 2006-2012 FORD FUSION / 2007-2013 LINCOLN MKX / 2007-2012 LINCOLN MKZ / 2006-2010 MERCURY MILAN / 2007-2010 FORD EDGE CHROME DOOR HANDLE COVER 4D W/O PASS KEYHOLE https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00GXRJ01E/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_Ft7Avb1TSA2H1
  8. They do a great job. Kept the salty wintry slush off ths sides. Just did the spring detailing and the tire shine didn't really get splahed on the sides like it did before.
  9. Keep checking your VIN at safercar.gov as the automakers provide more updated lists of vehicles included in the Takada recall.
  10. Yeah, I heeded Richy's warning not to use steel wool (no matter how fine) on the plastic chrome-clad wheels; that's why I went with a plastic scouring pad and scrub brush with the Turtle Wax ICE spray wax that Pcfithian recommended. Hate the chrome clad covers though. You'd think that for a $600 wheel Ford would've just finished the aluminum surface under the plastic cover and spared us the root cause of all the hassle. The dealer's equipment already messed up the inner part around the lug nut when they rotated the tires. Next time REAL chrome wheels for sure!
  11. I couldn't find Collinite, so I went ahead and tried the TW Ice spray wax with a houselold (plastic) scouring pad and plastic bristle scrub brush on my 20" CC wheels. Not perfect results, but acceptable. They look good again.
  12. Might try reaching out to Tricia, the Ford customer service rep who monitors this forum... http://www.fordedgeforum.com/user/29146-fordservice/; or maybe Rebecca from the Tech Team... http://www.fordedgeforum.com/user/28548-fordivtteam/ . Especially if this is a known issue as may be eluded to in macbwt's reply.
  13. Holy crap. So sorry to hear that. I hope no one was hurt. That really bites after waiting so long. Sorry, man.
  14. Welcome. Hi-ho Silver! Sharp-looking ride! Good move coming to Ford from GM. Still on honeymoon with my '13 Edge SEL. Picked it up 10/27/14 with 11K miles on it. Was dealer's (wife's) 2yr. lease turn in. Saved a pile of $$$. Better than new. No regrets. Lots of great advice/ideas in the Accessories and Mods thread, but you've already got a lot of bells and whistles with your Sport trim. Best of luck with it!
  15. Right back at ya, NexusFFO (and everyone else).
  16. It's a Tuxedo Black Edge, that I initially referred to as Black Beauty... which I immediately shortened to "B.B." ...but since my (and by extension her) surname is King, it occurs to me that her name is B.B. King. Ha! I crack me up!
  17. Welcome to the forum, Salta Woods. Happy New Year. So... did you take delivery yet? You like? Update/pictures please.
  18. Welcome to the forum. Best of luck with your new ride. Have had mine for two months and am still thrilled with it.

  20. Sloanie, check this post I stumbled across in the Classifieds thread... http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/16916-myfordtouch-lockpick/?do=findComment&comment=122067
  21. LOL. Spoken like a tried and true GM man. Had my mother's hand-me-down Vega back in the late 70's, so my experience with GM not all that warm and fuzzy. And after a brief never-again stint with Chrysler, I've had Mercs & Fords since. Funny though, my mechanic of 30 years has always preached that if you're buying foreign, then go Nissan... but if you're buying American, always buy Ford. He hasn't steered me wrong yet. Still lovin' my '07 Fusion and so far still thrilled with my '13 Edge SEL. All the best of luck with your new '14 SEL. I'm betting you'll be a good (if not reluctant) convert.
  22. P.S. welcome to the Forum ZooShoveller.
  23. I hate that stick. I'm either not pressing it hard enough to get past the 3-blink lane change signal or otherwise I'm hitting it too hard and flashing the brights. I hope they address that sticky blinker stick in future model years.
  24. Welcome to the forum. Love your handle. Saw a gator on a golf course once, but that was while vacationing in "CenFlo"
  25. You're going to be happier putting your $12K in the bank and chipping away at it to lease a new one. Should be some great deals to be had on a new '14 Edge. That let's you put off the buying decision for a few years while you drive new and under warranty. And then at lease-end perhaps you'll be in a better position to own it outright by financing the balance at that point. At least you'll know what you're getting at that point. Just some food for thought.
