  1. Welcome. And yes, more details please. I've got a '13 SEL in Tuxedo Black. 3.5L V6. Absolutely love it. Best of luck with your new ride.
  2. Installed the Auto Ventshade 25065 Bugflector II Hood Shield: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004INCV3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_m3eawbT0NCM93 Super easy install. The smoke color blends nicely with my Tuxedo Black Edge. It's barely noticable.
  3. Helpful. Thanks. I never had the "try it before you buy it" experience that comes with a "new" Edge, so just wanted some user feedback before trying. As it stands right now, doesn't seem worth it.
  4. Welcome to the group. What year is the Edge and what's the issue? Chances are good it's covered in the forum somewhere.
  5. Welcome to the group. Best of luck with your new ride. I have a '13 SEL and love it. If I'm not mistaken '07 was the inaugural model year for the Edge. Automakers usually put some extra care in vehicles being introduced for the very first model year, so chances are you've got a gem.
  6. Welcome Dave. All the best with your new-to-you ride. You'll love it.
  7. Welcome, hawks05. "Houston, we don't have a problem" (with the Edge). Not sure what DD means to you guys, but to me it's Dunkin' Donuts. Ha. I crack me up!
  8. Congrats on the upgrade to your new stylin' 15 Sport. All the best.
  9. Amen to that. Best car this old fart ever had. Welcome.
  10. Sharp! Welcome and best of luck with it.
  11. Congrats and welcome. I also have the '13 SEL; 20" wheels, no navi... probably the same standard SEL package. I got a great deal on a lease turn in, so I am fine with it. A year later, still thrilled with the ride. My only real non-cosmetic tweak was to replace the stock speakers. All the best of luck to you and your GF with her new ride.
  12. I have the My Ford Touch with SYNC on my '13 Edge SEL. I've had the vehicle for almost a year (October) and never had an active SYNC subscription. So can anyone tell me if a paid SYNC subscription is worth it?
  13. Is it retractable like a window shade or is it the disappointing OEM style cover.
  14. Melody, you can get a Ford Fusion in AWD as well, so don't let the information here deter you from looking into getting a Ford Edge. The same reasoning comes into play for most any AWD equiped vehicle. So if you're looking for a mid-sized SUV or CUV (crossover) the Edge is a tried and true proven vehicle in its class and one of the best out there.
  15. Welcome James from a fellow NY'er (Long Island). Your Edge is sharp looking in Cinnamon. Love my '13 Tuxedo Black SEL. The base sound system is pretty sad, but so far everything else is great. Best of luck with it.
  16. Welcome MetalFab. Nice looking ride. Best of luck with it. I love my '13 Tuxedo Black SEL. I think I actually like the '11 to '14 body style better than the redesigned '15. Looks too Escape-ish.
  17. Welcome OffEdge. Yep. Amazing vehicle. Love my '13 Tuxedo Black SEL. All the best to you with your new-to-you ride.
  18. Welcome jstall7543. Love my '13 Tuxedo Black SEL. Best of luck with your Sport.
  19. Washed and waxed the Edge and wifey's Fusion. Took all day. Have to hire a detailer next time. Getting too old for this sh!# ...but they sure do look nice all shiny clean!
  20. I test drove both and ended up going Edge. No regrets. Both are good vehicles but I ultimately liked the look and feel of the Edge. Also liked the Ford dealership over the Nissan dealership locally.
  21. Welcome to the forum. Nice color on your new ride. I have a '13 SEL. You're going to love it. Private or dealer purchase? How many miles on the odometer? Looks good. Best of luck with it.
  22. Looks like your bumper did a good job of absorbing the energy, and not compromising the rear hatch & cargo area. Her front-end; not so much. Glad everyone's okay. Edge should be an easy fix by the body shop; from the pictures looks mostly cosmetic/non-structural. Sucks that it's brand new though. I'd be pissed too. But you won't even know it was damaged, once repaired.
  23. Thanks. After washing off the surface crud and brake dust, Turtle wax ICE detailing spray and a plastic kitchen scouring pad or scrub brush cleans them up nicely. It just has to be done every couple weeks. Good luck with the new ride.
  24. Welcome to the pack, IWRBB. Show us some pix after you do your grill & wheel mods. I have a '13 SEL with those infamous 20" chrome-clad wheels. Some of us, myself included, didn't even realize they were plastic covers until it was too late. I'll admit that they look good (especially in contrast to the Tuxedo Black body on my Edge), but they're a bear to maintain. And what is more frustrating is that you can't just replace the cover; if it gets damaged the whole wheel has to be replaced. (Which begs the question... why didn't Ford just finish/polish the wheel and spare us the plastic cover to begin with?!?) Ugh!
  25. Forgive me for over simplifying and sucking all the wind out of the ethical conundrum of adding nav to a non-nav MFT, but I agree with Tacyon. All I need is my S4 suctioned to my windshield with google maps nav and I'm all set. Maybe I'm being thick, but I just don't see what the big deal is about getting nav on the MFT if it wasn't factory equipped. I'll admit I was curious about adding it when I first got my used '13 SEL, but given the expense and trouble, I quickly got over it. There are so many other options now, and for as often as you would actually need to use navigation, the smartphone or other after market nav devices do the job.
