  1. Thanks. I've been doing a lot of traveling this summer and just haven't been in town long enough to get it into the dealer for this issue. Let's see if we hear from anyone who has had their dealer look into this issue on the 2015 Edge.
  2. Has anyone brought their Sport into the dealer for issues with the seat back not cooling? I notice that in late August Ford issued a TSB on this issue for F150 owners.
  3. Have you seen the comment on the F150 page? Someone over there used a infared device to show the temps of the seat and seat back. The temp was almost 10 degrees warmer on the seat back. The "back" of the seat back, where the so called heat exhaust is registered at 120 degrees. Unreal. I'll be scheduling my vehicle for the dealer next week.
  4. I read the f150 threads about this issue. Has anyone here called a dealer about the issue in their Edge? Perhaps it's time for us to reach out to our Ford Rep as we did for the waterway issues. I for one cannot us the cooled seats in AZ as is. The reason I purchased the Sport with black suede inserts was Because of the cooled seats. Very disappointed with Ford. I thought they had their s$&t together. But apparently they do not. JS
  5. Sitting in my car right now. My seats are set to middle setting. Reached around to touch the back of seat above the map pocket. He seat is hot as hell. Bottom seat is cool , back is not. JS
  6. Nope, you are correct. I have a Sport here in Arizona. When my wife got in it last month I turned on the cooling for the front seats on high. And yes, the back of our seats began to get hot. She complained about it. Recently I've run the cooling for the seats on the middle level. The back of the seat does not seem to get as warm. I thought it was it just me, or perhaps the suede in The seats not reacting correctly. I would love to hear from more owners on this issue... JS
  7. My scheduled "leak fix" was completed this morning. Although I never had a water leak issue (or at least one I could find, it hasn't rained in Phoenix for quite a while) that I could see. The repair took all of one hour. Very happy with Surprise Ford. I guess I shouldn't have to wonder now. FYI. The tech showed me the area that was sealed. You cannot actually see that area unless the plastic piece is removed that is in front of said area.
  8. What do I think? I call BS. HEY, I looked at the other two vehicles. Actually I waited for the Nissan to come out before I purchased my Sport. The Nissan looks nice inside, but didn't feel good to me. Didn't like the way it drive and hated the looked outside. Looked great in photos, not so in person. Once I drove the Sport I was sold. My 2 cents.
  9. Looks like mine will be in next week for similar repairs. My rear door is soooooo of center. Love your wheels. Are those factory?
  10. I purchased my Sport here in AZ about 6 weeks ago. Haven't had any issue with water, but it has not rained here and the car has only 800 miles on it. I sent a pm to Tricia from Ford, on this site. She responded immediately letting me know that yes, my vehicle had a Customer Satisfaction Program number on it 15B21. I called my dealer over a week ago, the service rep verified it, but has yet to get back to me. Apparently the dealer has not received parts/supplies to fix the issue. I did receive an official letter from Ford MC yesterday "Your vehicle may have a water leak....."
  11. Folks I have a couple of questions pertaining to the Sony stereo in my Sport; 1.) is the SURROUND sound setting, station or song specific? It seems that the surround setting does not stay "set" as I move between some Sirius stations, not to mention moving to Blue Tooth music on my phone. 2,) Speaking of Blue Tooth music from my Apple Phone, does the Sony stereo download and store my songs one time? Or does the stereo index my songs each time the phone enters the vehicle? Thanks JS
  12. Well living here in the desert hard to know if I would have a leak, so the website supplied here has helped. My Sport shows up on the system. I guess I'll be scheduling a check up next week.
  13. My Sport is one of the quietest cars I have EVER owned. In fact my wife just took possesion of a new 2015 Lexus GS 350, and my Sport is quieter. It is!!! This is what I really love about it.
  14. Al: Stop stressing. Is this the vehicle you want and can afford.? If so, go buy it! I'm 62 years old and this is my second Ford since my 1976 Ford van. Stop the angst about "1st" year models. This is just a revision of the past year models, not a totally brand new design. If we didn't have the Internet you wouldn't even know about the "rattle". And that issue has been resolved. The other issues happen with ALL vehicles: parts fail. DESIGNS ARE NEVER PERFECT. I've owned a dozen new vehicles in my life, and I can say the new Sport is as good as anything I've owned (Lexus, Mini, Vettes,Nissans, and more). It's a machine!! It's never going to be perfect.... Sorry, just how we roll in the US of A!
  15. The "fastener" that holds the piece in wasn't that loose so I pulled the slack out of it, squired some silicon between the frame and the black body part, then squired some silicon around the fastener before I pushed in into position. Let it set up. Dries pretty fast here in AZ. Seems to have done the trick so far. Silcon and duck-tape, a motocrosser' tool box!!!
  16. I used a clear silicon on that area today. Thanks again guys for your attention to detail. It's what I live about most forums.
  17. Thanks guys. Now I get it. I appreciate it.
  18. Hey guys sorry for being so stupid. But I'm not grasping where this is exactly; the rear tailgate door? Or rear passenger doors? Could you possible show a panned out photo? Sorry to be a pain.
  19. Guys. It seems that my rattle may have been coming from the trunk specifically at the left side of the spare tire holder. I was able to easily move the first "bin" On the left side of the tire holder. If you grab the "inside" wall of that little bin you'll notice it moves up and down. I shimmed under that bin with a wad of paper. Drove around today and even my wife said she couldn't hear it. Maybe, perhaps, this is the culprit. Will keep you updated.
  20. I just purchased my 2015 two weeks ago. I've read a lot of negative stuff about it, but I have no issues with it. My iPhone 5 syncs up immediately. The music on my iPhone downloads to the stereo via Bluetooth. The sound is incredible and actually sounds better than music through Sirius. Seriously. The vehicle rocks.
  21. Boys. Seems like I was overly optimistic. Took the Sport back out this evening and the rattle is BACK! I guess I'll need to get in the back seat andet my wife drive around. Sorry.
  22. Is your interior black on black or does it have "grayish" suede inserts?
  23. Ok guys: I think I've found my problem. First I thought is was the read seats, it was not (drove around with them down). Then I went to the driver side rear passenger pillar where the seats belts are fastened in. I shim that area with a wad of paper. Not the issue. Then when driving home from a meeting today the sound was getting worse even under 30 MPH. So I noticed that on the driver seat belt you can adjust the seat belt at the pillar. I lowered and raised the adjuster a few times, and then I set it to "the next position down from the top level". Whalla! This seems to have stopped the rattle... The car is so quite I'm having a tough time staying awake in it... Hope this works for your rattles... JS
