  1. Yes, this absolutely sounds like my experiences with my 2019 Edge ST.  Little things stopped working, one day it was the button for the liftgate, then it was interior lights not staying on, then it was not able to lock/unlock from any door besides the drivers.

Replace the battery and you should be good.

Mine is odor free and climate change, freezing temps, have had no impact on that.

I would have continued use of mine even if it meant living with the odor.

Well the good news is I don't have to put up with the odor, because it looks like there is a solution.  :)

Talked with them this afternoon and they have another upgraded hose (Gates brand) and they are sending them to me for install.

  3. I would highly recommend installing it.  I clean mine every 1000 miles and it collects a lot of stuff I wouldn’t want back in the intake.  If you have “25” marked on the hoses you might want to inquire about the “35” marked hoses.

  4. Bringing this topic back up.  Last March I installed the "35" designated hoses that J&L sent me to replace the "25" hoses.  Everything was fine until the first below 40F days here in Dallas in December, and the smell has returned to my car and garage.  In fact, sometimes you can actually get the smell in the cabin after restarting soon after driving.  I took off the hoses and catch can and found condensation at the outlet fitting of the engine, at the inlet adapter to the can.  I also found condensation on the hoses themselves.

I have a call into J&L to discuss with them.  Hopefully I can get it fixed because I do believe based on the oil/gas liquid that I clean out every 1000 miles would be better not going back into the engine  :)

  5. @Perblue @omar302  I know the battery was still under warranty and I could have had Ford replace it.  However, I chose to go a different route and chose to go ahead and bite the bullet and replace it with a Duralast battery on my own $$.  It is MUCH easier for me to run to the corner Autozone and do the work myself than to coordinate dropping my car off at the local Ford dealer, let them have it for multiple hours, and then get it back.  :)

  6. 2019 ST 2.5 yrs old with 30k on it.  Noticed in the last week or so that suddenly certain little things weren’t working.  Nothing incredibly noticeable such as difficulty starting or anything major.

For instance, I couldn’t turn on map lights with the car off, couldn’t use the other doors to lock/unlock with the handles, interior lights wouldn’t stay on when the doors were open, interior lights wouldn’t fade out they would just turn off.  Not sure when exactly it all started, but the little things started to add up.

Took it to Autozone and they ran their battery tester on it and showed a bad battery.  Put in new battery, and presto, all the little things are cleared up and working. :)

  8. Great description of what to do.  I did this tonight on my 2019 ST.  There was NO fabric/stuffing of any kind in the sub enclosure.  I put about a full bag of poly in it.  I think it made a huge difference in the sound coming from the sub.  While I had everything out, I went ahead and coated the bottom under the spare and under the styrofoam bins on the sides with a dynamat type coating.
