  1. Ok the Beam cellphone holder showed up today and I ordered a second one for the passengers side. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073R68TSH/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I have a USB drive with music in one USB port in the cubbie and routed the usb cable out of the cubbie to the past through the center console to go up to the phone on the drivers side. On the passengers side I wanted to keep the 12V outlet in reserve, so I router a second cable down the passenger side from the arm rest storage to the pass through area for the second phone. The 12V to USB has two 2 amp outlets, so we have a extra usb charge outlet there. I learned about pulling off the side panels here and on a U-tube on installing a auto stop fix cable/dongle at the off switch on the center console. So first three photos are for the drivers side and the last two for passengers side. Chris
  2. DW is not happy with the dash reflection on the windshield. Any suggestions on that. Also may order this 2019-2020 Ford Edge Autostop Eliminator Type (See Application Guide Image): AE003 Hate auto stop feature and the fact that it is on every time you start the car.
  3. Well we went for an extended drive today and learn a few more things about the Sync system and HVAC system and the hard buttons on the center stack and also changing media without leaving Maps. So more things are doable, however on the RAM it is much easier and much more intuitive and does not distract you from the road as much.
  4. I found the 2020 cubby, as you call it, has a notch in the center console to allow cable to come out with the lid closed(right of center). Problem is DW does not like the cable going up over the front of the center stack.
  5. So, lets talk cell phones in DW new 2020 Edge ST. Because it does not have nav, we are using our cell phones. And you good GPS reception the phone is ending up on the rubber mat on the top of the center stack. I would be nice to route an USB extension up there. I looked a little at removing the glove box door to check on routing. Anyone have solutions or suggestions? Thanks Chris
  6. After owning the new Edge ST for a couple days, the sync design engineers need to rent a FCA product with the uconnect 8.4 system and try to replicate it. Our 2015 RAM 3500 Laramie with the center stack 8.4" uconnect screen with Nav and 7" EVIC dash is much much much better than what is on our new Edge. The two displays are interface with lane change and turn pictures popping on on the EVIC screen right in front of the driver. I can tailor the different areas of the EVIC(dash) to my liking. I chose the boost gauge left upper and tranny temp left lower, the lower one was changed to exhaust brake after this picture. Analog speedo and tach or fixed items onf the far left and right. The four "average mileage", "Trip A", "Range" and trailer brake "Gain" were my choice. I can choose between 15 or so items to display as digital numbers or for the gauges on the left. The large speedo scrolls easily to tire pressure, trip counts etc etc. The second and third picture just came off the web. I will stay so far I love driving the Edge ST!!!!
  7. We just bought a 2020 ST and one of the first things I did was turn off the Lane-Keeping correction feature. The Electronics check out guy at dealership suggested keeping it on and I said "no thanks". I did leave it in the warning mode. It just seems scary to think the car could turn on it's own. I never want a self driving car! This thread just confirms how I felt about the L-K feature. Really liking the car so far. Like the planted feeling it has on the road similar to two Preludes we have owned. We drove several other SUVs, and when we drove a low mileage 2015 Sport there was no turned back, even though we are in our late 70's. Wife's 2004 Buick Rainier 5.3 V8 was totaled Saturday when she was T-boned by a red light runner. She even at 79 likes vroom-vroom. We would have bought the 2015 except for two things, it was brought down from Canada and had rust on all of the rotor hubs.
  8. I am 76 and DW is 79, the new 2020 ST we brought home yesterday will be just fine the way it is! It replaced a 2004 Buick Rainier 5.3 V8 that got totaled Saturday. I did lot of mods(called bombs on RAMs) on a 2001.5 RAM diesel. In 2015 we bought a new RAM 3500 and I open the hood to change the oil and filters! Mod days are behind us. Enjoy your ride and have at it making it "Yours"! Might be cheaper than what Ford would have done and you get what "you" want, not what they served up!
  9. DW's 2004 Buick Rainier 5.3 V8 with 70k on the clock got T-Boned Saturday, so we went test driving cars Sunday and one was a 2015 Sport, and there was no turning back. Yesterday we drove home a new 2020 ST with 1500 miles as a dealer loaner. It was discounted 9500 bucks.
