Tire sizes and Actual tire surface contact patch width?
Snoking replied to Edgingage's topic in Wheels & Tires
I have ran over the years 4 studded tires on 4x4 trucks for skiing and snowmobiling in the NW. Studded tires are the best for ice, nothing else comes close.- 25 replies

It appears that it is added to 400A by $795 Ford Co-Pilot360 Assist+™
-
Here are two pictures of the build process with only 400A and NOT 401A. $43,700 price. Could be an error with Ford's build process. I have an email out to my sale rep. Chris
-
So, another thing. If I build a 2020 with 400A package, it now shows that it would have have NAV and ours does not? Voice-Activated Touchscreen Navigation System with Pinch-to-Zoom Capability, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link

I had the June 2nd transmission TSB done yesterday and DW drove it home. So today I took it for a spin. Transmission is now the way it should have been. I asked before delivery to have it done on June 22nd and they said you have to complain about something before they would do it. So yesterday for an oil and filter change to be ready to store it for the winter while we are in Az. So I complained about funky shifts and harsh engagements, and the paper work shows this time they did the upgrade. Big improvement.

Did these planes have Loran C/D. I was a USCG ET that was part of the construction crew on the master station at Sattahip, Thailand Summer of 1966. Operated the station until I rotated out the 2nd of June 1967.

I climbed through her in Mesa a couple years ago at Falcon Field. That tail gunner had be be a smallish guy. And a belly landing was rough of that belly gunner. The same day we toured B-29 FiFi at Gateway field. Bought a FiFi hat! We have old war birds flying around the East Valley quite often.

On our RAM 4x4 trucks they advise to turning off traction control in snow. they say leaving on will lead to getting stuck. Chris

Some manufactures post thread width in their tire size charts. You would have to look at the charts to know for sure.- 25 replies

NA 3.5 swap! - Taurus Sho engine on 2014 Ford Edge ?
Snoking replied to Dukhaykh's topic in Accessories & Modifications
DW's Buick Rainier AWD 5.3L V8 got totaled on June 20th. The next day we went out looking at a replacement SUV. The last one we drive that day was a 2015 Edge Sport, and there was no turning back. We rejected that one as a Canada import and rust on the brake rotor hubs. On Monday the 22nd we bought a 2020 Edge ST that had been a service department loaner with 1500+ miles on the clock. It was deeply discounted and we love it. -

The 255/60R18 will be around 1/2" taller and the 255/55R18 around a 1/2" shorter. A 265/55R18 would be 0.1" shorter. https://www.americastire.com/learn/tire-size-calculator?&ef_id=Cj0KCQjwhvf6BRCkARIsAGl1GGgHS2tzFkLkPXrZqEOQbCW3hTU2-oYRhTBdn5ZmTOMqGB2xGH69S6QaAqrGEALw_wcB:G:s&gclid=Cj0KCQjwhvf6BRCkARIsAGl1GGgHS2tzFkLkPXrZqEOQbCW3hTU2-oYRhTBdn5ZmTOMqGB2xGH69S6QaAqrGEALw_wcB&ef_id=XwzWWQAAAEpEUJJm:20200913210819:s- 25 replies

SYNC3 V3.4.43 officially released
Snoking replied to ONEDGE16's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
After the latest update, I could not go back an see a text message while driving yesterday, after DW hit the wrong thing and the text message went off the screen. Don't know if it was this way before or a new restriction. -
-
In full size, does that include width? I do not think the spare tire compartment is not deep enough for that . I can look later this morning. We have the 20" rims and a skinny spare tire. Chris

So I put our screen in Night and then went to display settings and changed it from the blight blue to a one of the three other choices(the far right one). We are liking this! Chris

I despise it also! Probably will install the module in the center console at the switch. -

It is Ford's way to tell you not to disable the engine Auto-Start-Stop feature. Chris -
So 2019s and 2020s got Sync updates yesterday OTA. People with 2019's are not liking the new default theme(the one that was default on the 2020s. Anyone know what changed on the 2020s?

Frame must be a dealer installed item. Attached is pictures of ours. From there add and after delivery. But now looking at the photos, the first picture has roof rails and the vehicle we bought does not! -
That is pretty funny given my 150+ weeks of technical training 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in electronics, computer equipment and networking, along with 42 years working experience in those fields. FWIW I can listen to my music without removing my phone from it's belt carrier via the USB drive inserted into one of the two USB ports.. Just like your phone I can carry the USB drive to my computer and manage the music on it. Speaking of technology, the 2020 Edge is way behind my 2015 RAM in many ways: RAM remembers seat, steering wheel, mirror, heat, music settings etc by driver base on the FOB used to open the door. EDGE push a button to get a sub set of those things changed per driver. RAM's EVIC is much more tailorable vs the Edge's. The uconnect 8.4 display is much easier to navigate vs the Sync display in the Edge.

I have got wheel locks coming for our 2020 Edge ST and manual says 162 lb ft. Man that seems tight for that size lug?
-
At our age we forget them once in a while! We tend to buy cheaper lower GB memory phones, and photo's use up a lot of it. And we are not trading the the latest a greatest new phone every 6 months or year like some do. A 8.95 USB drive holds enough music for us. Then there is this: Bluetooth compresses music in a lossy manner and limits the bandwidth as well to below 15 kHz.
