Thanks for the useful and detailed response. I don't know if it is just luck or not, and still concerned about why it failed yesterday, but this afternoon when I went out to start the Edge, the temperature was back on the display. Hopefully this will stay on forever, because if it is intermittent it is always hard to diagnose. If it does occur again, I will try the settings on the right hand side message center to see if it will change from metric to english, although I don't recall seeing that level of being able to change those settings from the steering wheel. If it is indeed a loose connection, that also isn't real good as they probably have to take the whole dash off or something drastic to get to it. I'll report back here if it occurs again.

Thanks for the response. I live in suburban Phoenix, so no lack of cell reception. I can also hook up to my wifi and there were no updates.

I've had the car about 2 weeks and around 400 miles on it. All of a sudden today the temperature display is missing from the upper right corner of the large display screen. It just shows a dash there. The temperature still displays on the right dash panel behind the steering wheel like it always does. I have restarted the car multiple times and it won't come back. I went into the settings and noticed that they show Celsius instead of Fahrenheit, and KM instead of miles. I figured this must have something to do with the missing temperature, so I changed them both back to Fahrenheit and miles, but every time I change them, the settings, within about 2 seconds switch back to the metric settings. No matter how many times I change them, they change back. I think somehow the 2 are related. Any ideas on what to do? I dread taking it to the dealer already, and they will probably say they are backlogged and it could take weeks to get to it.

I just got my 22 ST a few days ago. I didn't want to pay the extra $75 to the dealer for the locking lugs, so I bought them from Ford accessories site for $48. My manual says to tighten to 162 ft/lbs? I've never had a car call for that. My previous 2017 Fusion had upgraded wheels and I think they only went to 110 or 120. I didn't get the performance wheels and brake package, but the ST comes standard with 20 inch bright machined aluminum painted. That just seems like a lot of force for aluminum wheels. I suppose I should trust the manual? Thanks!

I played around a bit with the settings today. If I turn off "vehicle connectivity" the icon goes away, so I guess that is what it is. It would be nice if this icon was shown in the list of icons in the manual.

I just got my 22 ST a few days ago and have one icon in the upper right of the Sync 4a touch screen that I can't figure out what it is. It doesn't show up in the icon list in the owner manual, and an internet search doesn't mention it, although other people have it as well as shown in screenshots some have shared. It is next to the cell phone and wifi indicators and has an up arrow, a down arrow and a pointer similar to something you would see on a map or navigation screen. I can try to post a screenshot when I get in the car next time. Something with Fordpass?

I get that they are free online. I can't tell you how many times over the years I was glad I had a paper manual for fuse locations, lug nut torque and many other things. Maybe I need to buy something and need the specs of the car and I don't have access to search the internet? Just sad that this was stopped. I'll probably buy one.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes, I'm going to insist they find the keyless entry code card and give it to me, although if someone had malicious intent, they could have copied it. It used to come sealed in the owner's manual holder.

So I picked up my 22 Edge ST yesterday that I had ordered in September. Everything went well until I wanted to go through the owner's manual to learn how to do everything on the large touch screen. There wasn't one in the glove box. The only thing in there was a plastic wrapped group of documents such as the Sirius flyer, Tire warranty and very small supplementary owner's manual. I realize they are online, but I can't tell you how many times I've been out somewhere with a bad fuse or even changing a tire and used the paper manual. What if the battery is dead? Also, the keyless entry code always comes in a card inside the manual. It was nowhere to be found. I went back to the dealer today and they at first said someone will find it for me, then said there isn't one, but there should have been a keyless entry card, but they can't find that either. I did look and found a way to get the keyless code through inserting both key fobs in a slot in the console. They said because you can access the manual through the touch screen, which you can, they don't give you one anymore. I'm not sure I believe them as they also didn't tell me the truth about the Ford ESP extended warranty either. They told me there was no such thing anymore and would sell me a 3rd party warranty through someone called MPP. I looked on Ford's website and they do still have the ESP and said I could get it directly from them. So, does anyone know if that's true that there are no manuals in the 22s now? Thanks!

Thanks. I did go to the dealer and they had a couple of STs on the lot, which surprised me because I ordered mine last September, so how did they get those before me? Anyway, the STs on the lot all had the 2 inch receiver, which I was happy to see. I'm surprised they did this because with that receiver, some idiot will probably think they can pull a large travel trailer with it because it fits, and then sue Ford when it comes off.

I have an ST on order right now and had the same question on the hitch. I went to the dealership and they had a couple in stock. They are definitely 2 inch receivers which are class II or III.

I have a 2022 Edge ST on order that comes with the towing package. I can't find anywhere what the size of the receiver is for this package. Maybe 1-1/4 or hopefully 2"? Anyone get an Edge with a OEM package and can let me know?

I ordered my 2022 Edge ST on September 28th, 2021 and it still doesn't show in production on the order site. Heck, only about 5 months and I could change my order for a 2023!

I don't know if my dealer doesn't know what they are doing or the order was lost. I ordered on 9/28 and the dealer still says they don't have a build date. I think it is possible it will show up soon and they will call me to pick it up. They said they only check build dates weekly.

I was afraid that is what you meant. I'm guessing I won't get the one I ordered on September 28th until next year. At least I know.

To clarify, you mean they haven't made any 22s at all yet, or is that a build date for one you ordered?

I don't think my dealer ordered correctly, or the person I'm dealing with doesn't know how to use the system. He put my order in for the 22 ST on October 13th. He sent me a confirmation of the order. They claim there is no build date yet from Ford. In the past, I thought the build date came within a day or so. I'm 16 days out and no build date. Just seems odd to me. I know things are different now with shortages, but it appears some of you in earlier posts on this thread received your build date soon after ordering.

I ordered an ST today, in Forged Green. The dealer will send me the build date as soon as they get it.

I'm going to the dealer next Monday to order my 22 ST. Trying to decide on the color. They have a new green and blue, but hard to tell what they will look like on the car.

My dealer says they still can't order 22s. Was the order date moved up later than 8/29? Thanks!

Any update on this? My dealer says the system isn't open to order a 22 yet. The date I saw on some internet sites was 8/29.

I have been waiting on the 21s to come out, but not seeing many on the lots. Could be the chip shortage? Now that we are almost to June I think I'll wait for the 22s now if I can order one in August and get everything I want. I currently have a 2017 Fusion Energi, so there's no rush for me to get another car.

Well, I'm glad it actually fits. It defies logic though, if the same spare for the car without the Performance Brake package fits in the spare well, and fits on the wheel hub, why is it that they don't give you one...just for that particular vehicle? The weight would be the same for all of them. If some of you are saying that the regular, non-modified spare for a "regular" Edge fits fine on the ST with the Performance Brake package, I'm happy to hear that. I will tell you that for the Fusion Energi I own right now, None of the spares from any Fusion will fit. They go on the hub and bolts, but when you tighten them down the rim rubs on the caliper. The dealer and everyone on the FusionEnergi forum told me the regular spare would work, but I assure you it did not. I ended up buying another rim like the one I had for the 4 regular tires, put an older tire on it and carried that with me when I went on long trips where it could be 50 miles to any services. A huge hassle.

Hi all, I'm a lifelong Ford fanatic. I worked at the plant in Indianapolis for a time, and my dad retired from there. I currently have a 2017 Fusion Energi, that I love, but looking for something with more power and more room to haul things. The Energi is great, but the trunk is tiny due to the batteries, and there is NO SPARE TIRE. That is just not acceptable to me. I take long road trips and am planning another one to Wyoming and Montana. I want a spare. The tire inflator kit will work fine for a nail, but I've had flats where there were holes in the sidewall, or on the freeway where the tire shreds. Sooo, looking at the 2021 Edge ST. I want the 401A package because the cooled seats are a must in the Phoenix desert heat. I see some of the STs come with some type of Performance Brake package for over $2,600. These don't come with a spare. The reason, I'm guessing, is that because of the extra large brake calipers, the temporary spare rim won't fit over them. This is the same thing on the Fusion Energi. It didn't come with a spare, but you couldn't even buy one that would fit it because the regenerative braking system wouldn't allow them to fit on the wheel hub. I can get the ST without the Performance Brake package. The local dealer has a couple ordered like that, and sent me the stickers to view. The stickers says it comes with a spare and they charge $100 for it. I never knew they actually charged extra for a spare before. My question then is...can anyone verify that the ST without the Performance Brake package does indeed come with a temp spare that fits into the space for it under the cargo area? Thanks!
