  1. Wow, I just looked at my window sticker and guess what day mine was built on? March 16, 2022, of course. I swear I have noticed this on acceleration from a stop, and it is beastly hot here in Phoenix in the summer. Should I report this to the dealer? The last thing I want is the dealer screwing up my new vehicle by doing a major repair. They always mess up something. What does it mean "Less than 5,000 miles." Does that mean it will go away with more miles.
  2. My 22 ST does the same thing with the Ambient Lighting. After a couple of days it always turns itself off. I just got an update yesterday, so I'll see after a couple of days if that did anything.
  3. Yes, the gap near the hitch is the same as what you shared in your photo. Maybe they have to leave that area more open around the hitch because of the chains that hook up near there?
  4. The dealer finally got the rear deflector part and they installed it Friday. I paid $117 plus tax for the part and nothing for the install. At least that was something positive. Now I have the hood insulator and the rear bumper cover is secure and not flapping in the wind. What a shame they are cutting out parts. I can't imagine what they will leave off of the 23s.
  5. Yep, noticed that too. Already had the dealer put one on it. Really sad the things Ford left off of these. By the time we're into the 23's which is the Edge's final year, they will probably leave off the tires.
  6. My guess is the little damper or door that moves when you press that switch is stuck or the motor that moves it has quit. I've had that happen with other Fords before.....and it was a nightmare to fix....they had to take the whole dash out of my Taurus, but that was about 10 to 12 years ago.
  7. My 22 Edge ST downloaded an update a couple of days ago, then something popped up when I put the car in the garage that the update processed successfully. I don't see what changed, and my camera worked fine before and after the update.
  8. Thanks Kclonn. I'm sure I'll be able to do it. I noticed on the bottom of my bumper cover where the 4 holes are (2 on each side of the hitch) on the inside top of the bumper cover there appear to be some type of built in clips on top of each hole. My vision isn't good enough to tell if they are threaded. Did yours have those, and if so, did you slide the new deflector in between those so it is sandwiched between the bumper cover bottom and those additional clips? I too would like to see a photo from someone with an earlier 2021 that had this part on. I suspect that Ford may have just used the push in black fasteners that have a wide collar on the top so it wouldn't need a washer. Those clips hold lots of parts of the car together and might work as well. Thanks again.
  9. I have the rear bumper part and the hood insulator on order. Should both be in Friday. So, for the rear bumper part, you didn't have to take anything off to put this on? When you say you had to round up some screws, were they for the 4 attach points to the rear bumper cover at the bottom? It looks like for the two upper forward sides, you just took the nut off of the screw sticking out that was already there, put the new part on and tightened it down. Is that correct? Also, what do the 4 screws you bought for the bottom 4 holes on the bumper cover go into? When I look at mine they are just 4 holes and it looks like the new part slides in-between a small plastic bracket on the inside edge of the bumper cover above the holes. Are these threaded so the screws just go in, or did you have to buy washers and nuts to put on top of the screws as they come upwards through the bumper cover. Maybe you could send a picture of that that cross section with the screws going up looks like?
  10. I have a 22 and it is completely unacceptable without this shield (Ford also calls it a deflector). The bottom of the rear bumper cover is completely loose and flaps in the wind on the freeway. I went to my dealer as mine has less than 1500 miles. They had the same info MLTEdge posted. I had them order the part. They agree it is ridiculous it is missing and have had other complaints. They said they would "help me" as much as possible with the install. Hopefully not too much as the info from Haz above indicates they can install without removing the bumper cover.
  11. Yes, please let us know how it installs when you get it. I'm still thinking of going to the dealer and letting them know it is missing and see what they say, but sure it will be the usual "they're all like that" BS.
  12. Thanks Haz, that is great information. I guess the bigger question is why did Ford stop putting this rear center bumper cover shield on the vehicles in 2021 and for all the 22s? It doesn't appear they couldn't get the part and just left it off because they are available for ordering. Were they left off for a specific reason, such as the hot exhaust pipe is too close and could cause a fire? I just know there had to be engineers looking at this and there was a decision made to stop putting them in. I'm not sure it was a good decision because this thing is very loose on the bottom, but I'm hesitant to put something on that the engineers saw fit to leave off.
  13. Do you know if it just clips on with those push in clips, or you have to take the bumper cover off? There's plenty of room in there. If it involves taking the bumper cover off there's no way I would try to do that.
  14. So, is this something I can put on myself, or does the bumper cover have to come off to get this thing on? I don't think I can drive this thing around with the rear bumper so loose like it is now. Just can't imagine this is normal.
  15. What a coincidence, I just put some zip-tie straps on my 22 ST today. There is no rear bumper cover shield on these vehicles. I went to the dealer when I noticed how the bottom isn't attached to anything, yet there are 4 holes there that look like they should clip to something. They had 4 or 5 new ST models with trailer hitch, and every one of them was the same. I can imagine at higher speeds this thing is just flapping in the wind. At least the ties will stop that somewhat. If you just touch your foot on the bottom of the bumper cover, you can move it back and forth several inches and even the fake chrome tailpipe extenders move like crazy. The dealer also told me this is how they are supposed to be. I saw this topic on the Ford Edge ST Nation Facebook page. Evidently they are all like this. Very poor workmanship for a $50k plus vehicle. Here's the link to the facebook page. The post is from July 2nd regarding loose rear bumper cover. Ford Edge ST Nation | Facebook
  16. Thanks Haz. One thing though, at least for the 22 model year, the ambient lighting is only blue. I've seen people that have verified that in other forums as well. There's no setting to change the colors like we had before. Not a big issue, just a little annoying that it won't hold the setting. By the way, I never could get the Bezel Diagnostics to work with any of the button combinations suggested, even the one straight from the Ford procedures you provided.
  17. I have a 22 ST that I've only had 2 months. Every time I turn the ambient lights on that show up light blue on the floors and console areas, the next time I start the car, they are turned off in the Ambient Lights settings in the Sync 4A touchscreen. I noticed they weren't on last night while driving, turned them on and they worked fine. Got in the car this morning and they were turned off in the settings again. Seems odd to me that the setting would turn off by itself. Doesn't do it every day. I've had the setting stay on for 3 days before, but it always eventually turns itself off. Any ideas?
  18. I have the 12 inch portrait oriented screen on my 22 Edge ST, that has the Ford Sketch and games on it. It is definitely the 4A, but odd when I check the version is says Sync 4. Not sure why. When I ordered it with the dealer it also said it was 4A.
  19. My 22 says it is Sync 4 right before the version, but we know the Edge now has 4A, so not sure why it says that. Maybe they just say 4, and the version number means it is 4A?
  20. I have tried that. Just doesn't work. The instructions say to "simultaneously" press the on/off and the seek down button. Are you saying to press the on/off first, then the seek down? That is different from the directions, but I tried it and held them for almost a minute. Nothing happens. Thanks for trying to help.
  21. Thanks Haz. According to the documents above, I do have ignition mode on when I press the start button once without applying the brake. My start button light is blinking, and that also indicates ignition mode is on with the engine off. So, I should be able to enter the walk test by pushing the buttons as previously instructed, but it just doesn't work. No biggie, everything works well. Maybe someone else with a 22 can try and see if it works for them. Thanks so much for all your help and the great documents on the B&O system. It is a great audio system.
  22. Apparently mine doesn't work like that. When I push the start button once it chimes and the cluster lights up and displays a message that it is in full accessory mode. A second push shuts it off. It is either accessory or off. I don't have an ignition mode. This is all without my foot on the brake. If I put my foot on the brake, of course the car just starts, but the test doesn't work that way either. Guess I'll give it up for now. All the speakers are working fine, just something I thought was cool on my prior Ford. Thanks for the B&O guide too, Haz!
  23. It didn't work for me. I tried the one with the Volume button you have circled in red (I assume that is the same thing as what they call the "on/off button" in the direction attachment you included), and the seek down button (you had highlighted in red the seek up button on your graphic, but the attachment said to hold the seek down button). I tried this for the full 20 seconds the attachment states, and then even longer, but nothing happened except the radio turned off when I released the buttons. I tried the same combo with the seek up button as you highlighted, but it didn't work either. I also tried the steering wheel seek left and steering wheel volume down buttons and this didn't work either. In both cases, I held the buttons down simultaneously as it directs. I'm probably doing something very simple wrong. I had the radio on an FM station as the directions state (AM/FM) mode. The directions say to "Place the ignition mode to on." I pressed the button without hitting the brake, so the car didn't start. Is that the "on" mode, or does it have to be running? It isn't clear exactly what "Place the ignition mode to on" means, and maybe that is where I erred as when I pushed the ignition button without starting the car, it went into accessory mode.
  24. As I mentioned in an earlier post, my 22 ST has no issue with the front camera as it comes on, goes off and will come on as intended. I was rather shocked yesterday when I looked at my screen and it said a software update just finished. I was hoping I just didn't get the update that wrecks the front camera. I checked and it still works just fine. My software version is now 22043_PRODUCT Revision: 379. Is that the same or different version for those of you with the 21s that have the malfunctioning camera?
  25. Thanks Haz. It is late now, but I will try this tomorrow. What does it mean when it refers to "audio control panel?" I have a few physical buttons on the dash near the power on and tuning button, and the rest is controlled by the 12 inch video screen. Do I have an audio control panel?
