I got the long range sensor, and placed it on the passenger side. Comparing it to the standard parking sensor, it is a little bit thicker. However, the plug on it has a slightly different key than the other sensors. I first tested it by temporarily taping it to the car. With this correct sensor, active park assist is working perfectly! In order to plug in the sensor, I had to remove the plastic key so that it would fit.

The HCM is connected to C2129. The HCM is located behind/around the glove box, but I think you need to look directly up above to find the HCM. C2129: Pin 7 Grey-Blue = Can Low, Pin 19 Green-Orange = Can High. Headlamp Control Module (HCM) - Connector C2129 Pinout - 2021 Edge.pdf -

The VDM is on the HS-2 Network with: ABS, GSM, HCM, IPMA, IPMB, OCS, PSCM, RCM, SCCM I am thinking that some of the easier locations to access may be the GWM or HCM. -
Ambient Lighting Finished! đź’ˇ

Welcome to the forum @Ron Ron! The lights were powered by connecting to different power sources around such as the door modules and rear windows. The lights use very little electricity. A standard USB port will not work because it only provides 5 volts, while the light modules need 12v. The cup holders are more intricate, connecting to the body control module and being controlled by the touch screen. -

The challenging part will be finding side mirror cameras. We can use the mirrors from the Ford Edge CN, but they are expensive and difficult to get. -

I got a front camera, however there is a problem with the LIN communication. The front camera will show static guidelines if the LIN connection is removed. I don't have a front split view. I may have to order a different front camera. -

That is for the newer vehicles, such as 2021+ F-150, 2022+ Expedition, 2020+ Explorer, 2024+ Escape. Older vehicles will require the calibration mats, such as 2015-2020 F-150, 2016-2018 MKX, 2018-2021 Expedition. -

To estimate the average parts cost for OEM adaptive suspension: 4x Ride Height Sensors - $120 OBO *The front height sensor LH is already equipped on vehicles with curve adaptive headlamps. Vehicle Dynamics Module - $40 Adaptive struts + shocks - $500-1,000? Miscellaneous, nuts, bolts and wiring - $150? Am I missing any other main parts that could be needed? I am thinking that I should order a Ford Explorer front camera mount to install a front camera just below the Ford logo without having to get a new front bumper. The goal is to mount the camera as close as possible to the Edge that already have the front camera. FB5Z19H421AA FB5Z19H421A -

Last night I upgraded the rear wheel speed sensors with the bi-directional ones. I parked a car on the street to test. My neighbors must have thought that I was the worst driver ever. I drove past the car about 30 times. I am going to have to replace the front side parking sensors with the correct long range ones. Sometimes I would get false detections of parking spots. The system had a difficult time measuring the parking spot. Sometimes it would detect the space, but then it gave up and never told me to shift into reverse. Sometimes it got way too close where the front tire was going to hit the car. However, after many trials, I got a few good results. I got to experience active park assist. It was nice that I could shift between reverse and drive any time so that the system would make its next move. I also tried park out assist and it worked well. Next: 1. An ABS module replacement is not required. We do not need to upgrade to CADS3. 2. Long range parking sensors are required to accurately detect parking spaces. Standard “HU5T-15K859” sensors will work as a parking aid, but they don’t measure parking spaces well.

AWD Malfunction Warning After Low Tire
Wubster100 replied to w102acd's topic in All Wheel Drive (AWD)
Normally, only the front wheels will receive power, unless the AWD system responds to slip between the front and rear axles, or if wheel slip is anticipated before it occurs.
